Green Rooms

Thought I was getting a room to myself but in dorm. My error.

Verwaarloosde, slecht sluitende kozijnen en ramen (enkel glas in vooroorlogs gietijzer). Geen ramp in de heatwave, maar ‘s winters waarschijnlijk minder.

Windows were overlooking a busy street and with open windows(due to the heatwave) it was loud most of the night.

As it was so hot the windows needed to be open and my gosh was it noisy didnt get too much sleep! The shower could have done with some attention it came off the tracks when closing and small bit of metal cut my finger but not too much, did tell reception on check out who was very apologetic and was going to sort.

The bathroom situation was a complete nightmare. The property was advertised as having a private bathroom, but upon arrival I discovered that I had to use a shared bathroom located on the half floor. This was extremely misleading. While the toilets themselves were acceptable, the showers were awful. They were incredibly small and became very dirty after being used by so many guests. Even worse, both showers available on my floor had ONLY HOT water with no option to adjust the temperature. This is not only unacceptable but also unsafe, especially during the current heatwave. There was also no ventilation or fresh air in the shower area. Taking a shower in extremely hot water, in a tiny, unventilated space, was almost unbearable. In addition, the walls were paper-thin, so I could hear other guests talking and making noise throughout the entire night, making it very difficult to sleep. The window provided virtually no sound insulation from the outside, and the blind next to it was broken and kept rolling down on its own. Overall, the accommodation did not match the description and the conditions were far below what was advertised. I am very disappointed with my stay and believe the listing is misleading, particularly regarding the private bathroom.

The bed was too small for two people. I sleeped on the floor. The bathroom was down a
flight of stairs and shared by 8 bedrooms something that was not made clear on booking.

Lift got broken. Definitely hotel needs some renovation. Outside was noisy but it’s normal for busy areas.

No AC, there was a standing fan in the room which was nice, elevator was also out of order for our stay. The information pamphlet in the room advised that while there was no breakfast available, there was coffee at the bar after 9. When we went down to the bar to request coffee, they seemed confused and there was no coffee. I don’t know how we would have gotten back in the hotel if we had needed to leave later at night, we were given a “reception code” but the door didn’t have one, maybe it’s manned 24 hours but in general there were a few things that weren’t clear or conflicted with info provided.

No A/C, no fan and the shower was not the best but I only stayed for a night so it's okay overall.

Since it's in the town centre and above a restaurant, was quite noisy but that's just cause of the location.

But the walls were thin and the the floor is hardwood so you can easily hear other people from outside walking around and going to their rooms.

When walking into the property we walked straight back out and booked somewhere new. It was very unclean and did not feel welcoming at all. Was really uncomfortable

Rooms could do with a repaint but this is purely cosmetic, doesn’t impact the stay at all.
