Close to everything
The back packers across the road have a dance party every night with extremely blaring music until 4:00am every night.
I asked staff if I could be moved to another room on the other side of the hotel was denied any help.

Old analogue tv with no internet or wifi. Not so good
the location was good, staff were friendly and staff responsiveness was good, our interests were not associated with the hotel other than for convenience to stay at.
the room was somewhat cramped and the bed was ok (I have lung condition so it was oversoft at the head end, partner found bed good) the air conditioning was difficult to adjust to what we wanted but we finally worked it out for sleeping on the fifth night; the bathroom exhaust was too small and required imaginative towel positioning to dry the towels - especially the floor towel which always ended up sloppy because of fantastic shower heads but inadequately drained sloped tiles (maybe replace towels daily?). The TV was on the same wall as neighbor's, which could be heard when ours was off.

Opposite a night club that had loud music going till 4am in the morning .My wife got out of bed a 2am and drove the car to a quiet car park and then slept in it .The staff were very apologetic and moved our rooms to a quiet on one on our second night.

The parking
I was disappointed with the room setup. There was no table available for meals, and the tea cups provided were quite small. I was also surprised that there were no knives, forks, or spoons supplied in the room. Additionally, the noise from nearby street clubs and other guests late at night and in the early morning made it difficult to enjoy a comfortable and restful stay.
The property is central to all amenities.
BUT:
However, the loud night club music on Thursday night went till 1am and sounded like the band was in the hotel foyer. I googled to find out where the noise was coming from and to my dismay it is allowed by the EPA sound rulings for ladies night on a Thursday. Friday night was worse as the music was even louder and went till 2am again allowed in the Darwin central precinct by the EPA. We considered terminating our stay at the hotel as we thought Saturday night would be worse. However, it was milder and the music subsided by Midnight.
The apartment was covered with cockroaches after we arrived from dinner on the first night The cockroach spray can was in the cupboard and we sprayed the entire kitchen and lounge area. We confined ourselves to the bedroom. On the following nights we sprayed before we went to dinner and dealt with the dead cockroaches when we arrived back. I made a complaint to Jo on the front desk on the 3rd night. The problem persisted for the 7 nights.
The Gym is not in the Hotel but you can get a pass from the hotel to one nearby.
