Solar Antigo Luxury Coimbra

I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how amazing my stay at Solar Antigo was. I originally booked five nights but ended up extending my stay by another night because I simply didn’t want to leave.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. I was greeted with cake and fresh orange juice, and throughout my stay everyone was so kind, accommodating, and attentive. They even offered to wash my clothes and made sure I was first floor since I was staying several nights, so I didn’t have to climb the stairs every day, which was such a thoughtful touch.

The room was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything was spotless, and the room was cleaned every morning. The jacuzzi was an amazing bonus, and the shower had great water pressure. One thing that really impressed me was the air conditioning. I arrived when it was 39°C outside, but the room was wonderfully cool. You would never have known how hot it was outside.

Breakfast was another highlight. It was delivered to my room every morning at the exact time I chose, making each day feel extra special.

The location is fantastic as well. It’s in a very safe area, within walking distance of Coimbra’s main attractions, the river, the main university building, and the beautiful Joanina Library.

This was genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had, especially considering the price. The level of comfort, cleanliness, service, and attention to detail was exceptional. Every single member of the staff was wonderful and made my stay unforgettable. I would recommend Solar Antigo to anyone visiting Coimbra without hesitation, and I can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Solar Antigo! The staff were so kind and attentive, greeting us with champagne and cookies and even bringing our bags up many flights of stairs. Our room was comfortable with an incredible view of the city, and we got upgraded to a room with a Jacuzzi. We got so much more than we expected for the very reasonable price.

Excellent breakfast served in a basket each day that was brought to the room that included yoghurt, freshly sliced mixed fruit, fruit juice, various pastry and various bread selections and butter and fruit preserve.
It was a nice gesture to offer a glass of bubbly (or orange juice) and cake when we got in to the room.

Absolute Traumunterkunft. Ob zum Honeymoon oder für die ganze Familie (wie wir es waren), uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert und einzigartig! Sie haben sich bemüht, so viel Ursprüngliches wie möglich zu erhalten. Das macht ein ganz bezauberndes Flair!

A simpatia e disponibilidade dos funcionários tornam toda a estadia uma experiência ainda mais acolhedora.
A vista do quarto é excecional e as condições são ótimas. Com certeza uma experiência a repetir.

Tout était parfait du début à la fin. L'accueil est incroyablement chaleureux et l'endroit est vraiment très spécial. L'emplacement en plein cœur de la ville est idéal. Une excellente adresse !

A anfitriã Catarina foi parte essencial para nossa viagem, ela fez com que nossa lua de mel ficasse mais encantadora com sua oferta de carinho!

Todo, habitación, camas, todo el apartamento es precioso. Fantástica situación Agua gratis toda la estancia....desayuno en la habitación....

La cosa che più mi ha colpito è stata l'accoglienza, Caterina è stata davvero una host professionale, si è prestata a cercare di comprendere le nostre richieste, comunicazione ed empatia top, disponibilità assoluta e la chicca della colazione in camera proprio una gran bella trovata. Camera davvero pulita, ordinata, comoda, con vista spettacolare, brindisi di welcome e biscottini di arrivederci, tutto davvero molto molto molto apprezzato e bello.
