Cute interior with Olde World appearance.
Pros:

Excellent location for what we wanted.

Cons:

Didn't have the ability to open the windows as much as we would have liked to get more air into the room, it was during the time with higher than average summer temperatures; we were on the first floor facing the main street and the limit of opening would have been for security purposes.
The room had many exposed beams and had many dust traps and we were nervous about using the fan provided as that would have disturbed hidden dust that would have aggravated my Hay Fever.

Fantastic stay in a lovely historic hotel - exceeded expectations. Definitely worth the price!
Pros:

Beautiful room, gorgeous decor, large space with high ceilings. Great amenities, much better than many 4-star hotels I have been to. Really friendly, helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. The breakfast food was also lovely, and well presented.

Cons:

Room was slightly stuffy or hot but this was likely due to hot post-heatwave weather! This was greatly mitigated/helped thanks to hotel providing 3 fans (!) for free, which really helped us be comfortable despite the very hot July weather.

Pros:

Lovely visit here on Friday for lunch, busy but not crowded and enough staff to cope, great lunch menu we had delicious sandwiches and soups, the ladies also indulged and had cocktails. Staff were excellent, friendly and attentive without being over bearing, very comfortable dining area with lots of outside space if you prefer. Highly recommend

Very comfortable, enjoyable stay in a historic country town.
Pros:

Food at b/fast and dinner very good. Service was excellent and you felt “looked after”.
Room was okay but exceptionally hot weather was somewhat of a problem. Maybe a single sheet covering rather than a heavy duvet might have been better.

A truly enjoyable and comfortable stay, great accommodation, lovely food, brilliant staff
Pros:

Staff were brilliant, lively, friendly and competent. Decor is really enjoyable, makes the hotel feel like home from home. Breakfast was very good indeed, well cooked and served on really hot plates which makes such a difference. Dinner menu was tasty and attractive, and sandwiches at lunch very good. We loved our stay, and didn't really want to go home.

Cons:

Its nit picking, but the beef in my sandwich had a bit too much gristle in it, and would have been tastier if it had been cut really thin, with several slices rather than one chunky one.
