Excellent breakfast - but a bit unusual. Comfortable bedroom with a superb bed.
The breakfast was unusual in not offering cereals, juice, toast etc.
Lovely quiet modern rooms with spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. Huge delicious traditional Scottish breakfast included. Staff were friendly and obliging.

Outstanding food. I had steak frites for 22 quid and it was exceptional. The breakfast was also awesome. On site parking and handy for a commute into Edinburgh for work
The bar downstairs was a lite noisy.

Helpful staff, comfortable well equipped rooms, excellent breakfast options & good portions. The hotel is well suited to explore Penicuik & the surrounding areas.
The bar shut quite early, which was different from what was in the hotel information. We were staying for a wedding & we're looking forward to a night cap at the hotel once the wedding finished (10.00 pm). We were back at the hotel by 11.00.

It is set in lovely surroundings with the beautiful Pentland Hills in full view. It was my late partner’s hometown and from the first time he took me there, I fell in love with Penicuik. I always stay at the Craigie as it is comfortable, perfect location and plenty of parking.
As always, the price could be a bit lower as it is such a small town
We stay at this hotel a couple of times a year when we visit old friends in Penicuik. The full Scottish breakfast is second to none, just brilliant.

Ordering breakfast a la carte for free was a highlight for us and we enjoyed it very much - turns out to be so much more comfortable than buffets. Staff very attentive and the cleanliness was spotless. Within 45min from Edinburgh Central Bus Station which was a plus for our stay during the peak season of the Fringe Festival. Very quiet location and wonderful, comfortable beds. Having a bath tub was a plus and we loved the shampoos and soaps provided (luxurious).

Hermoso lugar para distenderse luego de un día agitado, en una zona tranquila. A unos 40 mins del centro de Edimburgo en bus, que pasa a solo metros del hotel y con muy bien servicio. Encantador estilo interior en el hotel. Muy limpio y cómodo. La atención de todos fue impecable. Muy recomendable :)
Sólo, para algunos huéspedes, puede ser útil que sepan que tiene 1ro y 2do piso sin ascensor. No fue un problema para nosotros, pero es para considerar en algunos casos especiales.
