Well appointed hotel high above Plettenberg Bay
Pros:

We liked the sky bar, the room, the dining room and the gardens. The staff were professional and polite. The breakfast and dinner was very good also.

Fantastic venue!
Pros:

The views are spectacular. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly and polite.

Cons:

We didn't have any dislikes. We would just say that the bed linen is quite starchy and is noisy when changing position when lying in bed. Softer linen would be less disruptive while sleeping.

- A propriedade é belíssima, fica dentro de um condomínio fechado, bem no topo, então a vista é incrível.
- Café da manhã é delicioso e tem vista lá de cima.
- Quartos limpos, bonitos e espaçosos.
- Academia super completa, bem melhor que a média de hotéis.
- Funcionários simpáticos e gentis.

Cons:

- Não gostamos que nos indicaram um motorista para nos levar de táxi até o centro da cidade, e ele nos cobrou 400 rands, valor totalmente abusivo. Nos sentimos explorados!

Perfectly nice, with very sweet obliging staff, but it just felt a managed from long distance

Cons:

Silly thing to complain about, but it felt like the bar/patio area really needed comfier, more lounge-like furniture. What was there was quite stiff.
I also felt the bar was a little overpriced.
I booked because I saw there was a spa facility, but when i arrived, the spa wasn't available at all.

Did not meet expectations.
Pros:

The hotel is located within a residential estate, quite far from any amenities, which makes it inconvenient. The photos online are misleading and make the property appear much better than it actually is.

The staff are acceptable but not particularly attentive, and service is very slow. The rooms are poorly insulated—you can hear everything happening in the corridors, which affects overall comfort. The cement flooring in the rooms feels cheap and out of place.

For the price paid, one would expect the food to be of a high standard, but it is quite mediocre while still being expensive.

Overall, this was not an enjoyable stay and certainly does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.

ACHTUNG: NICHT BUCHEN!

Die Parkplätze waren ausreichen vorhanden. Sonst nichts.

Zusammengefasst: das Hotel entspricht bei weitem keinem 5 Sterne Hotel.
Die Zimmer waren nicht nur dreckig, sondern die gesamte Ausstattung war stark abgenutzt und wies einige Schäden auf, hier aufgelistet:
- Insektennest auf dem Balkon
- Bettpolster verunreinigt durch tropfendes Wasser/Auslauf aus der darüber hängenden Klimaanlage
- Bettlaken mit Rückständen und Flecken
- Schlieren an Wänden und Schränken
- Wasserschaden an Badezimmer Unterschrank
- Toilettenspülung funktionierte nicht richtig

Fazit: wir wollen keine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbringen und haben uns ein anderes gesucht.

Wir haben uns direkt nachdem wir das Zimmer gesehen hatten an die Rezeption & die Managerin vor Ort gewandt.
Zunächst wurde uns ein kostenloses Abendessen und eine weitere Zimmerreinigung angeboten. Dies löst nun die Mehrheit der obigen Punkte nicht. Später wurde uns ein anderes Zimmer angeboten (diese sind jedoch alle aus dem gleichen Jahr und ähnlich abgenutzt). Am Tag drauf bat uns der Manager ein Glamping Zelt an was neu war. Was wir ablehnten, da wir explizit ein Hotel Zimmer für unseren Aufenthalt wollten und kein Zelt. Um die Situation für beide Parteien zu klären baten wir um einen Preisnachlass. Darauf ging die Hotelleitung nicht ein und nun werden wir nach wiederholten Mails geghostet.

Sehr schönes Gästehaus, Preis-Leistung war top
Pros:

Wir sind im schönen Guesthaus untergekommen und es hat alles super funktioniert, keine Probleme mit den anderen Gästen gehabt. Sehr schönes Haus mit eigenem Pool.
Abendessen und Frühstück im Restaurant waren sehr gut.

tolle lage mit super sicht, jedoch lärmemission der stark befahren Durchfahrtsstrasse am Meer.
Ideal für kurzen Aufenthalt.
Hätten eine tolle Sky Bar mit Whirlpool wenn es geöffnet wäre… schade..

Wunderschönes Hotel
Pros:

Das Frühstücksbuffet und auch das Essen im Restaurant war erste Klasse. Das Personal ist super freundlich - selbst der Manager hat sich nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt. Unser Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sicheren Gegend nur etwas weg von der Innenstadt (uns hat das aber nicht gestört).
