It was good, but we would choose something else for the next time.
Pros:

Location was good, breakfast was not too bad, staff was lovely, comfortable and huge bed.
People complain about noise, but before you’re coming - you read reviews, and in our case - on booking it’s clearly marked. If I want to sleep - I will sleep, so it wasn’t a problem for us. We also had some tea/coffee, sparkling and still water in the room. Our bed was made everyday, and towels were changed daily as well.

Cons:

Shower room was tiny, water was quite hot, when we’ve tried to contact property before the arrival - no response, no answer. TV didn’t have any Netflix/youtube etc. It was almost 200€ per night, so I would say some things could be improved. Room in general was quite old, and also not enough lighting.

Noisy, not recommended for a small baby
Pros:

Staff was fantastic. Lift was broken and they all brought all the luggage all the way up to the room while we were parking the car. Fantastic service.

Cons:

We requested a quiet room for the baby. Unfortunately they gave us the that was furthest away from reception. Lift was broken and had to go up 2 flights of stairs, down a corridor, up 1 more floor up a narrow turn, all the way to the end of the second corridor, and the door that's most far away. Unfortunately, despite this, the room was right in front of the nightclub behind the hotel, which meant it wasn't quiet. It was a known thing because the room had green single use earplugs for the nightclub noise and rowdy people. Hard to believe that this was the quietest room. But it sure was the most difficult to reach with 5 pieces of luggage and one baby buggy.

The earplugs did work, for us adults, no noise once you put them inside the ear, but the baby didn't have earplugs, so sleeping was most difficult.

Hard to bathe baby since it has a standing shower instead of a bath. Didn't have non slip mat for the shower, which caused a couple of slipping incidents.

Pros:

The location is good. I met 3 members of the staff, the night guy was quite nice, the other two, nothing special nothing bad.

The bed is comfortable enough.

Cons:

The room was small, there was space just for the bed and a little desk under the table, if I had a "20kg" suitcase I doubt I would have had space to open it.

The shower was quite dirty (I avoided having a shower just in case), the paint in the wall was unfinished/it felt...

The room was extremely hot and noisy.
The heat forced us to open the window which increased the noise coming from the street.
They provide earplugs, which is not an acceptable solution when proper windows and AC exist in 2026.

Great stay in a wonderful location in Dublin
Pros:

The design of the hotel is lovely, it's so beautiful! The garden bar is amazing. Love all the areas on the first floor that you can lounge.

Cons:

The room was extremely small, the photos make it look a bit bigger. It was fine, just pretty cramped with nowhere to put luggage.

Earplugs are provided for a reason
Pros:

The bar, restaurant and staff were lovely
Bed and pillows were comfy

Cons:

The hotel rooms and hallways could do with a bit of a revamp, rooms are a bit noisy due to outside noise, lifts weren’t working, toilet in our room was difficult to flush.
Tv in the room but no active channels except the radio
It’s a shame cause the hotel has great potential

Cons:

HBD advertise facilities include a restaurant and lounge bar. Arrived for one night stay and there was no access to restaurant or lounge bar on day of arrival due a private outside event being held on premises. Offered an apology on check out but surely not acceptable.
Maybe brighten dark corridors and rooms with a lick of light coloured paint?

Our room was in an attic- lift was out of order, had to climb 3 flights of dark , narrow stairs to get to it. Zero storage in the room, not even a space, other than the floor, to put a hairbrush. TV didn’t work -2 hangers on a wall in the bedroom for a wardrobe. No water at all in hot tap in bathroom sink. No hot water in shower, Nespresso machine in the room, no coffee pods, stains on the bedside locker and lamps- no staff at ‘reception’ on checkout

Hôtel à ambiance, bien placé. Bémol : véranda rarement accessible et ouverture petit-dej à 9h30 le dimanche

Super ambiance au rez de chaussée avec véranda et bar animé le soir

Cons:

Ce n’est pas mentionné dans l’annonce que le petit-déjeuner n’ouvre qu’à 9h30 le dimanche. À préciser pour ne pas être surpris si on souhaite partir tôt le dimanche matin.
La partie véranda n’est pas accessible pour le petit déjeuner le matin lorsque la zone est privatisée la veille.

Good location
Pros:

The location and breakfast (top quality). Staff at breakfast were brilliant but staff at check in were poor.

Cons:

The room was very small and the bathroom and shower tiny. Late at night staff kept banging doors which made the walls shudder. Seemed to be moving between their quarters and another room. Annoying and kept us awake.
