Too few easy routes from interstate 81.
Always love the General Morgan stay
Leaving
Didn't use it. Not enough carb free items.
Nothing
I'm diabetic and could not find protein. But coffee and cream was fab!
The air fan in the room was loud and kept me awake at times.
The building itself is spectacular; a member of the Historic Hotels of America group.
I chose this hotel based on 2 things. I was driving between 2 cities and (a) this was a good place to stop overnight. While it cost more than I normally spend, I was happy to see that (b) the breakfasts were excellent as I don't stop for lunch when travelling. Sadly, excellent breakfasts no longer exist. They are not only out-sourced to a connected third-party cafe, they are only subsidized. I got a credit of $7 toward breakfast. As a latte was $6, the cost of the egg mcmuffin sandwhich was mine to cover. In addition, the cafe has a religious theme - all the artwork and the music was in the name of our Lord. Which I found to be totally inappropriate. While the facility is impressive, the cost for what goes with it anymore is not.
The hotel was beautiful. Great location!

The room was very clean
They said breakfast was included. I do not find a $7.00 discount to the local coffee shop breakfast, I would rather they say no breakfast. It's misleading.
The property is a beautiful, historic inn. The location is great. The on site restaurant and bar is exceptional.

Convenient
Restaurant over priced. Lobby over crowded.
Not enough parking
curtains had holes and the beds felt like laying in a hole
the curtains had holes and the shade in bathroom would not pull down
Location was convenient, and my room was spacious, spotless, and had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in! I was traveling alone and felt completely safe throughout my stay. I also enjoyed a delicious dinner and drinks at Brumley's — such a great way to end the day!
No real complaints but a full-length mirror would have been nice
