I like the place

1970's decor hotel, no restaurant at the hotel, just a separate business running at the exact location. food and drink cannot be tabbed to the room, only paid in cash. sells itself as a PADI dive hotel yet the PADI dive center is another separate business. ( Staff at the PADI center have no clue how PADI certification works) room was not clean and a used disposable razor was found in the shower. this was reported to staff, yet despite this, the razor was still there after the room had been cleaned! The room had a fridge complete with a mini bar, yet on arrival fridge was unplugged and the contents were warm. remains of ice trays were melted and water filled the ice box. The patio/balcony door was poorly fitted and each whisper from the beach below could be heard. The stairs leading to the room from the ground floor had ceramic tiles that were loose and posed a considerable risk of tripping. the whole site was poorly maintained . the beach directly outside was dirty and covered in trash. There was open sewage discharged onto the beach 20 yards from the hotel. The photo of room 8 as shown ( the room I stayed in) does not show the crappy cheap US-style door handle and lock that offers no security what so ever.

This is an excellent choice when visiting Subic/Baretto. Alan, Gretchen and Martin are super welcoming, and push the boat out to make the place somewhere where everyone feels welcome; whether you are a single traveller, just having a quiet break, or a group looking to have a blast!
Like many venues in Baretto, there’s a pool league that happens on a Tuesday and a Friday, giving ample opportunity to browse around, however Wednesdays has the best quiz in town, which is more of a “social gathering” where you can simply pitch up and ply your vast/limited knowledge in the hope of obtaining a few free drinks! There you will find Craig, who will instruct you in exploring the many aquatic delights of subic bay scuba wise, and the food and service is always guaranteed a smile too. Long established as having been well owned, well run and a great place for a few jars, you should definitely give this place a try when in the area.

I was not aware the policy of not allow bringing outside food and Sheena did reminded me about that. And then she attentively asked what was my concern about ordering delivery.

I told her i want home style korean noodles and she immediately accommodate my needs. Very appreciate the personalised service and it definitely put a grim on my place whenever i think of this warming and caring hotel staff

It was a disaster

Spent almost 3 weeks at this resort visiting my wife's brother. We also treated it as a second honeymoon after recently celebrating 25years of marriage. We were in room 7 which had it's own balcony in the centre of the complex overlooking the courtyard. The staff are very friendly, polite and accommodating to our picky needs. The staff in the adjoining Rocklobster bar are also friendly. Had a go at scuba diving through the dive company based within the resort. Housekeeping will clean and replace bedding daily if required. Should finances allow we would love to revisit this resort. Highly recommend to anyone visiting to do a spot of scuba diving or simple relaxing.

aircon not working,so you have a fan room , cockroaches everywhere and right next to the hwy ,the room 17 needs a total renovation

Rooms are outdated, dirty, mold in shower, ants all over the room, dry towels were smelled dirty. The staff in the restaurant were not friendly at all and service was a below standards. I would not recommend my worst enemy to stay there. This place is an overall 0. However, they have a nice view of ocean.

It was a fantastic stay in this hotel. I would say the room is nice and comfy room. Its just nice waking up in the morning and looking to the beautiful calm water with amazing view of mountains. The staff are excellent and I really enjoyed our 4 nights here.

The service was fast and friendly. The Lapu Lapu I ordered was excellent and the price reasonable. The waitress did say not to order the Dory as its frozen and when thawed out becomes tiny. This is a con perpetrated by all these frozen food companies, one ends up paying for frozen water. Refreshing change for a waitress to point this out !!

had the impression that a pool was on site NO! told can use pool another property but a fee. Beach is there but not very good to swim.Reception was good and froendly, told ocean view would be an additional 2000k ad on to room rate,.originally asked to book ocean view through Expedia told they were booked out yet when we arrived many were available. The bar and food were very good atmosphere service and quality. Our room on second floor was dismal at best. Bathroom shower scummy around shower and bathroom totally out of date. Bedroom was dark dusty and loud from the noise of A/C and the traffic, The A/C was sooo loud couldnt hear TV. , room service was unavailable.. Hallway to room unlit and very dangerous.

I'm never disappointed staying here the place is totally self contained fantastic rooms for the price the beach bar to take a relaxing afternoon or breakfast overlooking the ocean and to top it of the best bar in the area with fantastic staff

Room:We stayed in room 8 Beachfront balcony room the first week of July 2022, the room is huge like promised but feels very empty. 1 television worked in the bedroom instead of 2 (1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom) obviosuly with restaurants and establishments left and right in subic freeport when the night is on, you can hear very clearly the noise from the neighboiring businesses so if you dont want noise, book yourself airbnb.

Food: No complaints on food, great big american portions, price is ok.

General info: Hospitality of the staff can be better or maybe a Welcome courtesy from the owner will never hurt coz these things adds up to the full experience of staying in a resort like MAngos.

The sea overlooking MAngos is just a disaster, in the early morning, all the trash are floating in the bachwalk area, the locals are just there to walk pass by all the trash, i find it sad that both left and right side neighbors of Mangos are daily cleaning there are of the beachwalk and i have never seen 1 person from Mangos to clean their beachfront area which is very sad, in the afternoon, cloudy brownish sea that is totally not inviting at all, at night its high water and all the trash i guess is back in the bottom of the ocean.

I do hope the government or the residence of Subic makes a Serious Clean Up in their beach area there coz this is i guess 80 percent of Tourism in Subic. I will count in the next 10 years no establishment gonna survive subic een the Inflatable Island if this continues.

To sum it up, we will never go back in Subic, we have the experience and it was a depressing one. Me and my husband wre NELOS scuba divers and my husband did 2 dives with Mangos and it was also not the best experience, if you want to dive in the Philippines i strongly suggest go to Anilao, Batangas instead, its world renowned in Macro diving and remember, do not messed up our seas and do not step on corals to have a perfect shot underwater.

Food here is great plus they have a nice service. Friendly staff and willing to give into our requests. Delicious meal at a reasonable price. Would love to go back for other family gathering. As we will really enjoyed their service here.

It's our first time traveling in subic.
We love the place,,the room was huge and comfy,the staff are friendly ang very accommodating.The food was good.the place is very accessible we don't have problems traveling. Will definitely visit again soon..

My family and i went here to eat on my wifes birthday and this is a top place to eat. Service excellent and big choise of food selection. The stater was shrimps in garlic and chili and our daughtrr get wings. We eat mexican and thai and there is enough of food. Even the desert was upper class. The waiter have a very nice attiude

I live 60 minutes away and go there once a month. If you want to spend more money you can stay at Central Park but Mango’s for the price is the best deal in Barretto. on the beach waterfront rooms available, dive shop in the hotel , 2 bars and lots of activities available on the beach including jet ski rentals and playland for children. can walk to restaurants and Nite Spots in Barretto. top shelf chef, food is excellent in the hotel.

What a lovely hotel. The prices are great for rooms, food and drinks. It is in great location on the beach with lots of activity going on all around this area. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff are amazing. Fantastic food and big portions. The bar has a lot of character. It is a must to stay there when in Berretto, Alongapo.
