Cons:

Owner tried to dodgy the price when we got there...demanding 3000 more rupees. When we said we paid already via booking.com he said it was wrong price and we have to pay more (for exactly same room)
Shower / bathroom was grimy. They had cleaned it with hose but dead bugs/spiders on floor and in corners. Had soap left in holders from previous people.
Mattresses very old, not sure if cleaned ever.
No facilities at all.
We actually didn't stay...we couldn't imagine sleeping a night there.
Just bad all over.

Idéalement placé
Pros:

Idéalement placé dans un cadre très sympathique. La chambre était propre et confortable. Le batiment est surprenant et parait-il qu'il y a des daims dans le jardin. Petit déjeuner généreux et acceuil chaleureux.

Nel complesso la struttura non era male, posizionata in un buon punto e immersa nel verde. Il personale disponibile.

Cons:

Il ventilatore era di quelli al soffitto , non l ho potuto usare perché faceva un rumore incredibile. Purtroppo ho dormito malissimo

Pros:

L emplacement qui est tout proche de l entrée des temples de polonaruwa, la gentillesse des hôtes qui nous ont proposé la location de vélos, très pratiques pour la visite de la ville.

Cons:

Le ménage de la chambre laissait un peu a désirer, notamment sous les lits, cependant la partie salle d eau etait tres bien.
La chambre bien qu exiguë etait pourvue d un lit double et d un lit simple empêchant un agencement agréable des lieux.

Nice atmosphere, its peaceful

Cons:

The place is full of cobwebs and the owner is super nice but rips you off (1200 for an old rusty bicycle for a day is ridiculous)

Leider sehr viele Affen, die auf die auf die Terrasse kamen und Essen klauten.
Und sehr viele Insekten im Zimmer.

Perfect location to go visit the archeological site nearby

Cons:

Photos on booking are not of the place you're going to stay but of the owner's house. The actual building is not as nice. When we arrived we were asked in what room we would have liked to stay, suggesting the AC room because the other one was not clean, this room ended up costing almost double the price. We had dinner at the homestay, nothing special, again really different from what you would expect from photos you can see posted, 1300 rupees per pax for vegetable curry rice and a banana, 1200 rupees for a beer, draw your own conclusions based on Sri Lankan prices...To be completely fair, after some discussion we paid for the room we booked, but still the price didn't feel right.

Pros:

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, ein perfektes backpacker- Zimmer mit Frühstück und super leckerem Abendessen von Mama gekocht...Affen und Hirsche im Garten kann man auch noch entdecken...Danke für diese tollen Tage.
