The room was nice.
It was isolated and loud.
- hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly, most speak English
- the ambiance of hotel of gorgeous of you like jungle theme
- parking is easy, hotel feels safe, Starbucks on property
- Coba town is less than 5 min drive with beautiful Myan pyramids
- recommend this hotel if you want some accustom bustling of big towns, though recommend having a rental car so you can access food/attrections when needed
We were attracted to this place to book by the offer of free bicycles which we used to explore Coba township on first morning (don’t take them to the ruins). The place offered so much more with its jungle like setting, pool, EXTREMELY good food in the restaurant and service in general. It had a pool and conference air conditioned space as part of the restaurant also which we did actually use for a late night conference call. Good Attentative staff and a personal introduction to our spacious room which suited our three adults.
The room had very marginal WIFI reception to the point it was unusable and we advised the hotel they really need to address this as for the travelling tourist (well for us anyway in planning activities and next stay is a must in the room). The room is generous but i didn’t like the shower area not having a door (privacy for the potential four adults who may not want to see one another naked) or the large window which exposes the same naked body to someone walking past outside - low probability but I prefer my showers without risk of a maintenance worker or one of my room mates accidentally wondering past. This could be addressed by a fix that effectively closes the supplied curtain
posizione ottima per visitare Coba, peccato che attualmente il sito archeologico sia un vero e proprio cantiere, i lavori, sicuramente necessari, non permettono di godersi la visita, sarebbe più onesta una chiusura di alcuni mesi per terminare i lavori
It was very gorgeous, quiet, and the staff was very nice. However, despite the staff not seeming busy (I was the only visitor there for my whole stay), the pool was always dirty. The hotel was also difficult to access for farther day trips - after one, I ended up having to walk for 10 minutes in the dark on the highway alone (as the staffs advice didn't pan out). When I reached out for help from the concierge, they had already gone home for the day at 8pm ):
The hotel was very nice but it was very difficult to find, even though it is located on the main road. Google Maps took us to a very different destination. Look for a Starbucks sign, because the hotel’s sign is hard to see from the road. Otherwise everything was good. The bonus point is for the bikes they provide. It gave us a unique experience to ride around and all the way to Coba.
Fix the sign so it is easier to find.
This place was great, quiet, clean, spacious. The staff was friendly and professional. The Starbucks was a nice option in a remote area. We would definitely stay again when we come back to Coba.
Nice hotel with comfortable rooms
Price is way to high for what you get.
On top of that you need to pay extra for coffee if you want coffee during breakfast while the breakfast is included.
Staying at Aldea Cobá was an absolute dream. Nestled in the heart of the jungle, this boutique hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury and nature. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated with local touches, and equipped with all the modern amenities you could need. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and enjoying coffee on the private terrace was pure magic.
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable—always friendly, attentive, and ready with great local recommendations. The on-site restaurant serves delicious, authentic dishes, and the pool area is the perfect spot to unwind after exploring the nearby Cobá ruins.
If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful getaway that immerses you in nature while offering top-notch service, Aldea Cobá is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back.
The bathrooms are magnificent. The pool and gardens are beautiful. The restaurant for lunch and dinner is exceptional. Best tortillas and food we had in Mexico.
The continental breakfast is very limited and doesn't include coffee due to their partnership with Starbucks. The pillows were uncomfortable. Unfortunately a black mould issue was identified in the room and apparently common due to humidity. Hotel is sort of in the middle of nowhere so a car is must.
Beautiful facilities tucked in the jungle just a 3 minute drive from the Coba ruins. The villas are very nice, with private pools and gorgeous decorations. Nicest bathrooms ever!
