Hello it was very bad i book the hotel because I know it's self check-in because i was travelling and i know i will arrive to Hamburg very late but when book it I didn't receive the code for the first door to come in to get to the self check in manich i call the staff the tell me the code when I get in i trying to check in by the maniche it's wrote me that my check in reference is not valid i call the staff again than than just tell me they are sorry it's late and the maniche is not working so I can't check in and I have paid and I take taxi 40 euros to go there and I don't know what to do by that time where to sleep they just said they are sorry is not possible to check in because the maniche is not working so I need refund my money back

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Zimmer in zentraler Lage.
Pros:

Da das von mir gebuchte Hotel wohl gerade renoviert wird, erhielt ich ein Upgrade in ein Hotel auf der gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite, dass zu gleichen Hotelkette gehört. Die Zimmer sind dort sehr gepflegt. Die Zimmerdecke ist sehr interessant gestaltet (Sternenhimmel).Alles war wirklich mehr als zufriedenstellend. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

I had a confirmed reservation, but when I arrived the hotel appeared to be closed due to major renovation works. The entire front of the building was blocked by construction barriers, there was no access to the entrance, and all visible windows were covered with protective construction film. This was not a matter of poor signage—I walked around the building looking for another entrance and found none.
I called and messaged the property manager through Booking.com but received no response. After contacting Booking.com, the manager claimed the hotel was operational and that my description was incorrect, yet he still did not contact me as promised. As I could not access what appeared to be a non-functioning hotel, Booking.com cancelled my reservation and I had to find alternative accommodation.
Only several hours later did the manager finally call me, by which time I had already booked another hotel.
Very poor communication and a misleading situation. Guests should be informed in advance if a property is undergoing major renovation works that make it appear closed and inaccessible.
