I would not stay here again.
Pros:

We liked the price. You get what you pay for. The rooms were very large. It was clean. There was a pond with turtles. Good WiFi.

Cons:

They advertise a restaurant, there is no restaurant. Also, the pool was gross, we asked for it to be cleaned, they added a jug of pool cleaner and it turned my daughter’s hair green. It’s right by a really busy street, the rooms are not sound proof, it was very noisy all night. There’s a large pond that is a mosquito breeding ground. We had to ask for extra pillows because they were so flat and uncomfortable.

Unfortunately Drift Inn in Cayo did not meet expectations. The room lacked proper maintenance and cleanliness, and although we raised concerns, the issues were not adequately resolved by the owner. The property has potential, but greater attention to upkeep and guest experience is needed.

Very basic accomodations
Pros:

Everything about this place is ok, but it's very basic.

Cons:

The staff did not communicate well. I got mixed messages about meals and amenities.
The Internet went out while we were there, and no one seemed to know what to do about it.
The room only had 2 working outlets, so for a family of 4 trying to charge our devices, it was complicated.

Pros:

La piscine, la sympathie du personnel, les extérieurs , climatisation possible dans les chambres

Cons:

Les chambres dortoirs sont petites (peu d’espace pour les affaires) il manquerait des rideaux pour fermer les espaces des lits, propreté pas top (notamment poussière), l’emplacement pas idéal pour aller en ville mais reste sur le chemin des tours qui peuvent ensuite faire un stop ici.

Pros:

It was pretty cheap for a bed so me and my wife bought 4 beds for one night.

Cons:

It had no chairs nor table in the room so we sat on the bunk beds and knocked our heads a couple times

Pros:

Great facility - I must say, however, one member of the cleaning staff is quite rude if you are showering when she wants to clean and go home and one member of "security" (the new guy), does not have a sniff about his job responsability. Nor does he care. He locks the access door through the lobby, making you walk around to the exit gate - which he leaves unlocked - so that he does not have to lift his head from his phone. First hand experiencing both signs of neglect of responsabilities.

This place stole my heart!
Pros:

I absolutely loved my stay at the Drift Inn in Cayo. Bike rental was cheap and convenient, though I wish they had bike locks. Air conditioning was so nice to have. Great atmosphere, live music and karaoke on weekends, staff were all very social and welcoming. Made me feel right at home. Their restaurant also had some of the best food I’ve had in all of Belize.

If you like Belizean culture, sometimes they have the Garifuna Collective play a concert, sadly I missed it!

I would recommend this place for solo travelers, couples, or groups.

Have better access and protocols for such situations instead of the clients losing out all together.
Pros:

breakfast was OK. I did not like the fact I fell and lost my phone and cash in the process. No indication what so ever of the massive trench dug in the parking lot. I fell and twisted my ankle and lost my phone and money clip that was on the back of it. My bank card was with it too. Because the fall was so traumatic as we were leaving to have dinner in town, I was helped up and got in the car feeling embarrassed and in much pain. An employee came out and told me to go to the hospital and I told her im not going to a hospital here for a sprained ankle and we left as I was in agony. It was only whebn we got to the restaurant I noticed my phone was missing, we thought it may be in the car or back at the hotel. But when we got back the hotel showed me that they have cameras but no access to the camera in front where the cars are parked because the owners are out of town and no one had access. So I was never able to see who took my phone and cash because of this reason. I knew the thieves were still in the hotel as I could feel it. As I was sitting with my friends they were hacking my phone and stealing my money and Identification.. not a pleasant experience to say the least. The staff should have been able to access the cameras so we could have caught the thieves as they were still on the property. Very disappointing to say the least

Cons:

better access and find the persons who stole from me and decided not to hand it in when found, the money I get it but my phone and personal information just shows me no intention of ever returning it what so ever. Horrible to think they can get away with such crimes is disgusting. imo.

I have been returning to this hotel over and over for over 20 years. I honestly consider it a home away from home!
Pros:

Very pleasant and cheerful staff are always ready to assist with anything you may need. They are a great source of info about the area, and they are also able to arrange tours/transportation for you!Comfortable, clean and safe family friendly accommodations! Fresh delicious treats and variety of food homemade on site! Beautiful well kept fish/turtle pond as well as a nice pool for swimming! Anything else you could want is available nearby, which makes for a truly comfortable stay!
