Havana Lodge

Such a beautiful stay, we loved the pool area and could have stayed here our whole trip!

Vi blev väl omhändertagna trots språkbarriär. Godaste frukosten vi haft i costa rica dock servars den bara mellan kl 09.00-10.00 vilket är lite snålt. Vi verkar ha varit dom ända som bott där under vårat vistelse. Välutrustat kök, dock fungerade inte gasen när vi kom fram men fick snabbt hjälp att få igång den. Ac/fläkt fungerade och det fanns smart tv. Var väldigt fuktigt, även om man kan räkna med det fick det hela anläggningen att kännas lite nergånget. Mycket myror överallt både inne och ute, knäppte i väggarna i vårat hus. Stället skulle verkligen bli super med en makeover och skulle då säkert fått 5 stjärnor.

Très belle maison de style hacienda mexicaine, totalement ouverte sur le jardin et la piscine.
Tous les matins, une cuisinière prépare un Petit déjeuner maison excellent.
Les chambres sont nettoyées tous jours.
La cuisine est très bien équipée.
Beaucoup d'animaux que l'on peut voir depuis la piscine : singes, écureuils, oiseaux tropicaux, iguanes, crabes (mieux que les parcs nationaux finalement)

We enjoyed Havana Lodge very much. The staff are very helpful and kind. The Desayuno (breakfast) is fabulous and large every day.
Pets are very welcome.
The gorgeous, tranquil, beach is less than 5 minutes away.
There are many lovely places to eat nearby. We didn't use them. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked and really nice kitchen. And the gas BBQ.
The grounds are so tranquil and peaceful. We look forward to returning soon.

The property is surrounded by lush flora and the staff, when there, are helüful and considerate. But there is no one full time on premisis, the rooms and esoecially toilet were not in the best shape and they couldnt even get the credit card machine to work. I fortunately have a CR bank account and was able to withdraw the funds. Decent price but would probably spend a little more next time.

Yasmina the housekeeper/cook was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. And the pool is great for a dip after a day at the beach.

This was a lovely property, nice and clean with really good staff.

We had a great stay at Havana Lodge, room was big, breakfast good and Jasmina was very welcoming and nice to us. There is lots of wildlife around, we saw an agouti by the pool and heard the howler monkeys. Only small minus was some small bugs in our room, but also - it is Costa Rica and nature is part of it so it was not a big deal for us

Malpais/Santa Teresa is a surfers dream city and havana lodge is a zen sanctuary from all the chaos. The roads are definitely a little intense but once we got to havana lodge we felt so relaxed and serene. Theres a beautiful pool and great lounge area you can hang out in all day. Our room was so beautifully designed to the point I had to photos as inspiration for my future home. Everything was boho chic, the bathtub was the most aesthetic tub I’ve ever seen and I loved the essentials oils they had on when we walked in. Everything was so clean and on the daily they did such a good job consistently maintaining it. Breakfast was great and overall we felt so comfortable during our stay. Location is good because it’s away from the chaotic roads in Santa Teresa but you can walk to one of the nearby beaches.

We had a fantastic stay at Havana Lodge. We really appreciated the opportunity to cook and use the kitchen for our meals. The included breakfast was delicious and the best we have had in Costa Rica! We will visit again! Thank you

We loved this beautiful hidden gem. The property was amazing with white faced monkeys playing in the trees above the pool area. Yasmin, the cook and house keeper, was excellent. She made the most delicious breakfasts each morning. She was kind and helpful - always catering to your needs. We are so happy to have found this little hotel and can’t wait to go back.

This hotel was fantastic. It was so beautiful, and the room was great. It was the best part of our stay. Would definitely recommend.

The quietness and the jungle atmosphere. The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly, helpful and trustworthy. It was like a little oasis close to town.

Its important to know if they just receive the pay in cash and doesn't accept cards.

We had a great experience at the Havana Lodge!
The property is very nice , the atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing while being in the middle of nature.
Our room (the suite) was very spacious and very clean and the bed by far the most comfortable of the whole trip!
Evi and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful.
At foot distance from the hotel there is also a lovely restaurant with delicious food right on the beach!

The facilities are in great conditions. The room is very comfortable. It has hot water and the one I stayed was in front of the pool with a very nice view.

It provides WiFi conection however it is not very good. It disconnects randomly. The room door is made of wood and has cracks, in my opinion, it makes me feel somebody can see me through any of those.

The hotel is very close to Santa Teresa beach, around 1 Km.

Overall, the stay is very nice and it was a good experience.
