Delicious breakfast buffet - what’s not to love!!
Pros:

The breakfast was exceptional. I especially loved the curry sauce, shredded cabbage, katsu, tiny cakes, and the nicest coffee I’ve had this trip. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed the bathing experience. Wonderful stay!

The deluxe double room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was huge for Japan. The onsen was lovely. Being so close to the station was perfect for us.

綺麗だった

Cons:

勝手にキャンセルされていてその後のスタッフの対応が最悪だった。日本語があまり上手くないスタッフが対応していたので私の言葉をちゃんと理解していなかったためキャンセルをされていたのに、次に話した人は一貫して私のせいのように言い、あげくに部屋はないと言われてお金も返ってこないと偉そうに言ってきた。結局同じ部屋が空いているので泊まれると言われた。最悪の対応だった。

Comfy hotel with onsen
Pros:

The hotel is less than a ten-minute walk from the station, but we arrived on a cold, rainy evening. They provided big umbrellas to borrow when we later walked to a restaurant, and when we returned it was so nice to warm up in the onsen! Although most Japanese hotel rooms are tiny, this one was at least large enough to include a desk and chair with enough room to sit there comfortably. We opted for the hotel breakfast buffet, and it was wonderful, with lots of choices representative of the area, like Kanazawa curry. The staff helpfully stored our luggage after check-out so we could sight-see before leaving town.
Some navigation advice: If you are walking from Kazawa Station with luggage, it is easier to walk straight out of the West Gate and cross the intersection straight ahead, rather than following the bus loop to your left, which will lead you to underpasses that involve stairs.

Pros:
