Pros:

Zeer goede ligging, zeer vriendelijk personeel, lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt en goed en mooi restaurant.

Cons:

Het restaurant is mooi onderhouden, zodat je kan genieten van de oude stijl, maar al de rest is gewoon oud. Een klusjesman in dienst nemen zou al veel doen, overal ontbreekt wel iets of is er iets kapot. Jammer, want met wat beter onderhoud, zou het een heel mooi, authentiek hotel kunnen zijn.

A good base if you are not too pretentious
Pros:

Location is perfect. The style is very typical, and I like it very much. Rooms at first and second floors have huge windows, that are amazing. Only stairs are available to upper floors (perfectly fine for me, but useful to be know, I guess). Staff very helpful when I needed. Clean. Good breakfast.

Cons:

Quite old furniture and moquette, that left some unpleasant smell in the room. Holes and sign of use in walls and furniture, that should be taken care of. In my room there were two beds, one had a really bad mattress (luckly I was alone and I could use the other one).

I’d come again just for the helpful staff team.
Pros:

Convenient. Good facilities for price. Shower was good. Water on arrival a nice touch. Breakfast plentiful and fresh.

Cons:

Stairs! We were on the top floor and it was just a surprise. We coped.

Tegenover het station in een prachtig pand slapen
Pros:

Dit hotel lijkt wel de poort van Leuven, recht tegenover het station is het het begin van het plezier dat Leuven je te bieden heeft. Dat heeft zo z'n voor- en nadelen: je hoeft net zo ver met je koffers te zeulen. Maar 's nachts is 't wel weer een stukkie lopen vanuit de kroeg. Maar ja, dan zijn er ook wel weer wat biertjes verteerd ;-)
Op het pleintje van het hotel zitten... nog meer hotels met restaurants, wat het een gezellige boel maakt 's avonds. Dat betekent niet perse rust op straat, maar daar hadden wij in onze kamer aan 't plein niet heel veel last van (met de ramen dicht). Over de slechte verlichting en ditto bekleding in het trappenhuis is denk ik al wel genoeg gezegd. De kamer was echter best ruim en de badkamer met toilet had ook een prima uitzicht op de hoofdstraat. Buiten was het guur en koud en binnen brandde de kachel hard zodat het (soms te) warm was

Het ontbijt is achterin de zaal van het restaurant. Een klein buffet, maar compleet: van yoghurtjes tot broodjes en divers beleg. Personeel dat z'n best doet het naar de zin te maken!

De inrichting van het restaurant was prachtig en goed over nagedacht. Er mag wel eens een plumeau door de ruimte (kijk eens omhoog) en misschien kan iemand ons uitleggen wat die t-shirts daar doen... Zonde van de luxe sfeer!

Cons:

Ons hele ochtendritueel duurde een half uur langer. Dat was omdat het doucheputje zo lang moest bijkomen van 3 minuten douchen. Ook was er niet zoveel ruimte om toilettassen enzo kwijt te kunnen. Daar hebben meer hotelkamers last van. En zal ik dan toch nog over die trap beginnen? Nee... daar moet je maar andere recensies over lezen.....

perfect getaway in central leuven.
Pros:

Room was quiet, but on the top floor, be prepared to climb a number of stairs with your luggage to finally get there. room has all you need and an comfy bed. decent breakfast buffet with everything you might like.

Cons:

Finding out the hotel changed the rules and not include the breakfast, during the booking it was advertized as included, do not like these kind of surprises. Also the window of my room could not be closed due to some damage, during the freezing cold this was not ideal.

Historisches Hotel mit sauberem Zimmer, recht einfach eingerichtet, das Bett war nicht sonderlich bequem, freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück. Leider etwas hellhörig (ich konnte den Nachbarn schnarchen hören). Das Hotel hat Potential, es wirkt etwas vergessen (Licht ging nicht, Türklinke defekt, durchgeführte Reparaturen waren noch sichtbar, Fenster konnte nicht richtig geschlossen werden), Treppenhaus wirkt vernachlässigt.
