Our room was lovely, the staff were very professional and helpful. The food was delicious with lots of choice. We had a massage with Mawan which was excellent. A special mention to Dhamanuke and to Madushanka.

For a $1000 per night I didn’t expect a waterlogged blind in the shower and mould forming in the shower.
Being told not to swim in the beach on arrival and signing a disclaimer paper was a first for us anywhere in the world.
Do not promote the beach on your website if you cannot swim in it.
In all the years travelling in the most amazing hotels I have never been told you cannot drink your own duty free gin.
Afternoons drinks 5 to 6pm saved this law, except it was local gin.
It was a beautiful view at sunset.

This is a beautiful sanctuary directly behind the beach and completely hidden from the busy road nearby. The hotel is small and intimate, with exceptional service. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff couldn't have done more to make our stay special. The only regret is that the sea, so temptingly close, is not safe to swim in due to strong currents, but the beach is well worth a stroll down. The food was absolutely delicious.
Shame you can't swim, but that's nothing to do with the hotel.

Our particular room was massively inferior to the majority of rooms which had sea views and lovely terraces or balconies. Our was described as with a terrace but it was purely a corridor leading to staff quarters. Although we had a minibar there was no where to sit & indeed the room only had 1 chair. Furthermore the matting/carpet was stained & marked.

It’s all perfect
Stunningly beautiful, and large comfortable rooms. I slept extremely well here. Everyone keeps themselves to themselves so it often feels like you have the place to yourself. Staff will do anything for you. I also had two exceptional massages and enjoyed the cookery lesson.
The price— though it was new year.

This property is the epitome of rest and relaxation! Even though the property was 70-80% occupied, we rarely saw other guests and felt like the entire place was reserved just for us. We loved the minimalistic lifestyle it embodies, no nonsense or “events” - just a place to unwind and forget about time. The beach is absolutely breath taking albeit not recommend for swim. The rooms were very good in size and had very comfortable beds. The staff were all extremely helpful and professional and accommodated almost, if not all of our request. The food was excellent and our 3 year old loved all the food on the kids menu - a big win! Also the open grass area was such a delight for our child to just run around and be one with nature which is rare nowadays.
Das Frühstück war sensationell, generell das Essen war immer sehr fein & schön angerrichtet. Es ist ein Ort für pure Entspannung.
