I stayed in Cat Ba Island and honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the moment I arrived, the manager Kien was incredibly kind and caring,I wasn’t feeling well and he genuinely took care of me, even bringing me a herbal tea for my sore throat. Such a thoughtful gesture that really touched me.
The hotel also offered me a free room upgrade, which I truly appreciated. The room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with a super cozy bed and a beautiful, relaxing view. The bathroom had everything I needed and felt modern and spotless.
Breafast was also really good
It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for peace and quiet, yet still want to be in a great location to explore the island.

It was a little bit overpriced for the simple room.
L'hôtel bénéficie d'un emplacement pratique, à proximité des restaurants et des rues commerçantes. Des serviettes de plage sont également mises à disposition sur demande, ce qui est appréciable.
Le petit déjeuner reste assez limité en choix, mais il est possible de demander un bol de phở directement en cuisine, ce qui est un bon point. Le ménage mériterait d’être plus rigoureux. À noter également : l'insonorisation est quasi inexistante, les murs étant très fins, on entend facilement les bruits provenant des chambres voisines.

Breakfast was really horrible. We couldn't eat it. They offered us a very small discount. The aircon broke, the room door jammed and to top it off they added a 66% markup to the transfer from Hanoi we booked with them. We know because we booked the exact same one with the same company on the way back!

Nice aesthetic, we had a nice green/hill view from our window. Room had a fridge.
The hotel is located on a street where only scooters are allowed, meaning bus pickups for tours required a bit of a walk (not too bad). It was a bit hard communicating with the staff.
The room is very small, looks shabby and dated, nothing like the pictures. The breakfast room is dark and reminds of a cheap student diner. The sheets were yellow… for the same price there are way much nicer places to stay within 100 meters

Jenny (staff) was so friendly and welcoming, she knows the island so well and gave us great advice for activities to do in our time there - she is a treasure to the hotel and she made our stay so much more enjoyable! The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable to stay in. In house breakfast was great and location was so close to town. We could hire scooters from the hotel to travel around the island which was an added bonus of staying here!
The in-house laundry stained all of our light coloured clothes so I would go somewhere else for laundry next time. We could remove the stains back home with special treatment but had to wear them stained for the rest of our trip with only regular laundry services available.
