Greenfield Ecostay

Beautiful location, relaxed atmosphere, great food and nice owners would definitely recommend to come here!

Best place in Vietnam. Our gracious and accommodating hosts, Rene and Ngan, went above and beyond, for example, they bought a lamp for our room so I could read at night and upgraded our room for free. Definitely the most beautiful setting of any place I've ever stayed. I could watch the buffalo, cows, and farmers in their rice paddies from the gorgeous infinity pool, surrounded by greenery and flowers, or watch the sunset from our balcony or hang out on comfortable chairs in the thatched roof pavilion. Phong Nha and this beautiful gem of a hotel is my favorite place in Vietnam; magical. The valley is surrounded by mountains - awesome photo opportunies. I loved swimming in the huge, clean, salt water pool. Flexibility with meal times was appreciated. Rene, his wife and staff made great coffee, and delicious meals, with many choices, including a special BBQ meal, and we loved hanging out with Rene and drinking great wine and Scotch whiskey (he has a great bar), and hearing about his many experiences and swapping stories. Rene was a motorcycle tour guide for years so his expertise was very helpful. Rene even fixed my iPhone and arranged for his motorcycle mechanic to put air in the tires and oil the chain. We enjoyed cycling into town on his free bicycles, and walking to a restaurant called Lotus in the village. Our huge room and big bathroom counter had many places to put our stuff. Quiet area at night.

We had an amazing stay at Greenfields. We had to change our plans due to most of the caves/tours being cancelled due to the typhoon at the time but René and his wife were very helpful and organising other activities for us (the jungle hike was great!). We loved swimming in the pool every afternoon and having a few drinks.
They also organised washing for us, and we borrowed some push bikes to ride around for the day.
The little cats they have are sooo cute and friendly, and definitely a highlight haha. The food was delicious and it was so nice not to have to go back out after a big day if we didn't want to.
Overall, a stunning location overlooking the rice fields, with a beautiful garden and lovely owners/staff. We will be back!

We loved our stay at Greenfields, it was a great detox from the busy city. Renee was an awesome host, nothing was too much trouble. He helped us with transport & a tour to local places with local people, & was always up for a chat, which we loved! The pool was amazing & very much a feature of the place, a swim on a hot day was very relaxing.

This is my second stay at Greenfield, it is only a couple of km’s out of Phong Nha and situated beside the rice fields. It is so relaxing with an amazing pool and the hosts are so welcoming and genuine. Both nights an excellent dinner was provided by the hosts which made it even more relaxing. You can’t go wrong with staying here !!!!

The beauty of the place exceeded expectations. So glad we found this place. It’s easy to get around from here but we stayed in the pool relaxing on the sofas for a couple of days because it was such a beautiful pool and view. Renee and his wife are the loveliest people and we felt so looked after during our stay. Prices were really reasonable and Renee organised great trips out for us. They did our laundry. We could have stayed and would definitely go back in a heartbeat ❤️ They really go above and beyond for their guests. The food was excellent and this was easily the best place we stayed over our whole trip.

We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad bij Greenfield Ecostay. Het is heel ruimtelijk en toch knus. Zowel het avondeten als het ontbijt was elke dag heerlijk. Het zwembad is groot met een super uitzicht en voldoende plekken om te liggen. De omgeving is prachtig, er is veel te ondernemen maar je kan ook gewoon genieten van de natuur. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gezellig! Als je naar Phong Nha gaat moet je zeker weten hier een paar nachten verblijven.

Greenfield is surrounded by lush vegetation and vibrant green fields, just a short ride from Phong Nha center by scooter, car, or taxi. The setting is peaceful, with a beautiful garden and a fantastic seawater pool. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks to the  hosts, René and Mémé, who go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay— I recommend checking with them for transportation and tours—they’re very helpful and knowledgeable.
Good breakfast with fresh homemade options. One of the highlights of our stay was biking through the area, it was a fantastic way to explore the surroundings. Free bicycles are available, and scooters can also be rented.
Highly recommended! Our teenage sons said it was their favorite place in Vietnam so far.
