Wonderful stay at the beautiful Allegro Hotel Hoi An
Pros:

We loved everything about The Allegro. Rooms are spacious and exceptionally well kept, the air-con works a treat, the location is brilliant...walking distance to the Old Town...just a few steps to great restaurants, cafes and shops.
The pool was refreshing on the very hot days we had.
Buffet brekky was amongst the best we've had and changed daily.
Staff treated us like we were family. They are kind, courteous and jovial with guests and amongst themselves. It was great to see.
Special thanks to Andrew and Jane who took fabulous care of us.
We would highly recommend and return in a heartbeat 😊

Highly recommended hotel with excellent service
Pros:

Excellent service; they were extremely accommodating - we were leaving Hoi An at 10pm and they were very happy to allow us to use their facilities, as well as offering use of showers at their spas if we needed. Location was really handy to old town, without being right in the midst of all of the noise. Room was very well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome, with great variety of food and drinks. Highly recommend. One of the favourite hotels in our stay in Vietnam!

Prima, maar het hotel is naar Europese standaarden 3 sterrenwaardig

De locatie het is op loopafstand van Old town.

Cons:

We hebben gemengde gevoelens over ons verblijf. We verbleven 3 nachten in dit hotel. Het hotel is op loopafstand van Old town wat perfect is. De badkamer was ruim, schoon en goed uitgerust. De receptie probeert mee te denken in oplossingen en geeft goede tips. Wat ons minder beviel is dat we bijna aankomst onze koffers zelf naar binnen moesten dragen. Er was niemand. De hospitality en service is geen 5 sterren. Het is een 5 sterren hotel en daar verwacht je ook een bepaald servicelevel. Ze proberen wel mee te denken en oplossingen te bieden. Zo heeft de receptie ook een goede tip gegeven over een spa voor een massage, want die van het hotel zat die dag vol. Deze massage is een van de beste die we in Vietnam hebben gehad. Soms komt de vriendelijkheid wat gemaakt over.

De matrassen zijn echt een van de slechtste waar we ooit op hebben geslapen. Na dag 1 hadden we allebei een rug die compleet vastzat. Zelfs met het weghalen van de topper werd het er niet beter op. De balustrade op het balkon is rot en daarmee ontzettend gevaarlijk. Je kunt er niet tegenaan leunen. Vanuit onze kamer hadden we uitzicht op een tennisbaan die misschien al 10 jaar niet meer in gebruik is en vol met rotzooi ligt. Het ontbijt is prima, maar niet bijzonder. De keuze is relatief beperkt als het gaat om een Europees ontbijt. De pastries zijn keihard en verder kus je kiezen uit toast. Ons verblijf was prima voor een 3 sterrenhotel, maar zeker geen 5 sterren. Op de kamer lag een feedbackformulier die we hebben ingeleverd bi jee receptie met opbouwende kritiek. De general manager kwam hiervoor naar de receptie met de vraag om de feedback toe te lichten. De general manager gaf bij het benoemen van de rotte balustrade en een aantal andere onveilige situaties niets terug. Het leek meer een verplichte actie dan dat er daadwerkelijk wordt geluisterd naar de ervaring van hotelgasten dan wel opvolging gegeven aan.

The best.
Pros:

The Allegro is perfectly located in Hoi An, a short walk to the Old Town and market. The pool is terrific and the breakfast has plenty to choose from. This was our second stay and it was largely the staff who were our reason for returning, we were made to feel as though we were returning home.
