Not the best Marriott out there
Pros:

Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, spacious and confortable.

Cons:

Food in the restaurant was really lackluster, variety is limited to whole me is and known staples such as grilled beef or the typical local dish Pique Macho. I tried a Chicharrón which was good but nothing to write home about. For dinner I tried a Peruvian fried rice dish wich was terrible, salty and gooey. Truly awful.

Breakfast variety is also very limited. 4 warm dishes which are always potatoes, steamed vegetables, scrambled eggs and sausages/bacon. Bread and pastries are also very limited, as are the cold dairies. Not the best breakfast I have had in a Marriott hotel

Room sound isolation is also a concern, one can practically hear what the guest in the next room is watching on TV, very little privacy there.

On a more personal note, one night at 12 am I got a call from the front desk. I picked up after waking up and no one replied. No apologies were given after this.

If you pick a Marriott it is because you know the brand and like what it offers, but this time this hotel has not met my expectations. I hope they improve because it is one of my favorite brands of hotels.

Beautiful hotel - I only stayed one night but I would have happily stayed longer - thank you!
Pros:

Really clean, the room was beautiful with lovely views of the forest. Good coffee making facilities. The pool was excellent, the food was lovely and the service was amazing.

Cons:

There is nothing I can fault about this hotel!
