Kasuwari Hotel

Pros: helpful and nice staff, clean bedroom and bathroom.
Cons: absolute lack of maintenance, the hotel was build few years ago and since then there was no maintenance at all. Paint is peeling of the walls and ceiling, gardens without flowers, common areas look like construction yard, there is no space to hang around, sit together, etc. Fotos has been taken in the time the hotel was opened. Now it looks much different.

Die Menschen im Hotel waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Gebäude allerdings, ebenso wie die Zimmer, ist stark heruntergekommen. Überall hängen nur halb entfernte Spinnweben, im Bad riecht es nach Abfluss - und die Badezimmertür ließ sich nicht schließen, so dass der Geruch allgegenwärtig war, wenn auch im Zimmer eher „unterschwellig bzw. beim Vorbeilaufen an der Tür. Das Hotel liegt etwas abgelegen, die Einfahrt ist ein ungeteerter und sehr holpriger Weg. Alles in allem kein guter Eindruck, abgesehen von den freundlichen Mitarbeitern.

I'm not sure how to write a review of tge properly. Basic might do or even primative. Bed made strange noises, but so what, it was huge and very comfortable. Shower and toilet, old with peculiar plumbing but it all worked. Fabulous balcony. Not exactly pristine surroundings and was a bit muddy after rain, non of which killed anybody. Staff were brilliant. Was offered a coffee as soon as I arrived. Would come back like a shot.

Pros: friendly and very helpful stuff, affordable, convenient location and walkable to everywhere including beach and airport, ok ( not great) Wifi
Cons: very very outdated.

The good: large room with a balcony, desk, decent shower and clothes airer rack. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly.
The bad: smelly drains, no chairs for the desk, a sink that drains into the bathroom and pools instead of draining away so can get smelly, filthy mattress protector and linen with cigarette burns and marks.
The ugly: cockroaches and bugs inside. This is likely because of the huge gaps under both the doors.
Close proximity to town, eateries and transport links.

Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Maar de staat van het hotel/hostel is erg slecht te noemen. De badkamer was echt heel erg.
Best jammer want het zou met iets meer aandacht en een likje verf er prachtig kunnen zijn.

The rooms are big and clean, that was enough for us and the staff very helpful. they clean the room only when you ask them for coffee and tea free all the time we stayed there. breakfast only with toast and egg but we don't mind about that

First entering this hotel feels very welcome, the staff is the main reason I wrote this review because they work very hard to help us and the check-in process is quite fast with a friendly smile from the front office staff. The room is clean the breakfast was nice food and the service is very good from all the hotel staff, especially when I need some information, the staff explains everything to us to enjoy Labuan Bajo without offering any "travel program".
I really recommend this hotel for a solo traveler who not really know what to do Labuan Bajo and wants to have a nice and big room.

Our room was big and clean and had a large balcony. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning. The only problem we had was booking a boat tour. We specifically told the owner that our dates were very flexible and we would like to book a tour that had a maximum of 15 guests. He told us he booked us a tour with 7 guests, but when we arrived on the boat the next morning the boat was at maximum capacity at 25 guests. This meant we were sharing ONE bathroom with 25 guests and 7 staff for two days. The boat was so full that they ran out of food for dinner and breakfast, although breakfast was just white bread and jam anyways. They also ran out of sleeping mats. We loved the snorkeling and scenery but the boat was just way too crowded.

This place is NOT the Waldorf or Four Seasons so based on the affordability factor I gave it a 4 star. If you set your expectations accordingly then it will be fine.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating.
Pak Maheer (manager) and the staff are excellent hosts and will try his best to make your stay comfortable. He can assist in helping you find tours, excursion etc.
They also provide free pickup to and from the airport.
I had issues with the wifi which wasn't working well and when it did was quite slow but other than that the room was clean, comfortable etc. Breakfast though basic is complimentary.
Overall, I find this hotel to be acceptable based on the rates.

The nightly rate is considerably cheap for this hotel. It is not in any way grand or exclusive, but for a quick say, it is sufficiently comfortable. The room was not equipped with fridge, TV or safety box but you can always put your food/drinks inside their kitchen fridge if you wish. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The AC was working perfectly. Clean bed and shower as well.

It is perfect for a business trip and when you don’t expect to spend a lot of time inside the room.

For a cheap, quick night stay. This works. The beds were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was sufficient. Walking distance to restaurants and stores which is convenient. The water - sometimes you had it and sometimes you didn’t. So showers were not guaranteed. We spent two, one nighters here on each side of a boat trip. That was enough. May or may not stay there again if we had the choice. But the price was nice.

I stayed here for 3 nights and felt very welcome. My room was super spacious, with a nice balcony area. A delicious banana crepe was delivered to my room when I had to get up super early for a day trip to the islands.

Mahir was super helpful with transport and helping me out with anything else that was needed. A load of washing, was Super convenient too. They dropped it off into town for me and picked it up. Only cost me $5 Sing. No dirty wet clothes for me.

One thing I didn’t read from the board, was that if you wanted your room clean, you need to drop the key off at reception.

Considering how cheap this place was and the walking distance to the Main Street with all the delicious food, it was a great find. Thanks Mahir!!

Aziz the Manager is great, he helped us get a Komodo trip. Was helpful with all questions. However the hotel is not up to our expectations so we booked another hotel for our last two nights. Still Aziz was amazing and arranged that his property took us to the new place.The room was awfull, the bathroom smelled and it wasn't really clean. The bedsheets were dirty so we moved to another room. Their the sheets were fine but everything else a bit more dirty. Its just not a place to feel confy.

Very bad experience!
We have booked the trip to Komodo island for 3 days/2 nights, was a shared trip but when we arrived there, the owner inform us that we are alone because the other people fail and that the price has to be higher, we agree because he promise it would be a better trip but very far from there.
Our guides don’t speak English, just few words not enough to do their work, so we can not communicate with the personal in the boat, and the worst part is that they changed the itinerary without explanation or justify.
Very unprofessional agency and the hotel so bad for the price. Don’t make any reservations with them.

We spent here 3nights. It was clean, AC worked well, bathroom was clean. It is so quiet, but is still very close to the harbor. All the shops, warungs are within 3min on foot. Staffs are helpful and kind. I can just recommend it.

Clean, no-frills family-run place that’s located very close to Komodo Airport. They offer a free airport shuttle, which is convenient. The staff are superb! Very warm, friendly and willing to help out in any way, including giving advice on places of interest. A basic breakfast is served to your room which you can enjoy on the balcony. Motorbikes are available for rent for a fair price and the supermarket is a 5-minute walk away.

The only issue was the cold showers, but other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

I'll start by being fair and saying this is actually an average hotel, short walk to town, the room was spacious and clean and airconditioning was really working. However, I gave them a low ranking, due to the ff.

1. I requested for an airport pick up service via Booking.com and I got an email confirmation that my special request has been granted but when I arrived at the LBJ Airport, no one picked me up.

2. I booked for a room with TV, but surprisingly, there was none! The Staff who showed me the room told me that all of the rooms in the hotel have no TV. What a scam! TV is one of the most important factors for me when booking an accommodation, it was not for recreational purposes but the reason why I need a TV because I can't sleep without the noise coming from the TV.

3. Breakfast is included, yehey! But for three days, breakfast are the same, a cup of Flores Coffee, a pancake and and a slice of watermelon.

4. No hot water in the bathroom. It could have been better if they got a hot water shower because sometimes you need really hot water after a long day of journey.

5. Wifi does not work in the room, I completely understand that because it is clear from the hotel's description that WiFi is available in common areas only. But considering the room's price, WiFi should be provided in the rooms as well.

In conclusion : The hotel is not too bad, I am fine with basic accommodation but this was far from what is advertised, Too expensive for what it is. As per my new friends from Indonesia who visited me on my last night in Flores, when they saw the room and knew the amount that I payed for, their exact word was "MAHAL." Thus I would not recommend.

Best value for the money in labuan bajo!

I never heard a no from him and not asking for money at the same time!

Good motorbikes for rent available.
A bit off the noisy main road..
I will stay there again!
