A gem in Luoyang!

I really love this hotel! It is tastefully decorated, well appointed and comfortable room, warm reception and sincere hospitality.

I only give this hotel 10 out of 10 because the web site doesn't allow 15 out of 10!!!
A totally SUPERB hotel. The check in staff (and all the rest!) could not have welcomed me in a more friendly and professional manner. My guide waiting for me in the lobby was served fresh Chinese tea every time he arrived. The welcome note and local details brochure in the room were "just right".
The room was without fault. I travel a GREAT deal, and I have never been able to say this before. It seems that the owner and/or designer also travels a lot and notes all the good and bad things about hotels, and has incorporated all the best ideas in this hotel. EVERYTHING has been thought through. All the facilities you need are present, and in the right place; all the extraneous stuff is missing. The (re-fillable) conditioner container is half the size of the shampoo container, because fewer people use conditioner.
That covers the staff and the facilities..... What knocks this hotel out of the ball park however is the design and ambience. The place OOZES texture. From the soft white palette of the walls with hand drawn "tile" paintings, the earth tone floor tiles, the light woods of the furniture, this hotel was a DREAM to stay in. I only wish every town, not just Luoyang, had one of these.

Avoid Dishonest Sister Restaurant
Pros:

It is a relatively new hotel in the newly developed Luoyang CBD. 15 minutes drive to Long Ment Si Ku high speed train station. Few traffic in the road to get a taxi. The checking in takes a bit longer than usual.The room is clean but a bit small. Complimentary fruits and Chinese dessert are offered once checking in. The staffs are friendly and ready to help. The breakfast closes at 9:30am when the general practice is 10am in most hotels. The food in breakfast is tasty and better than most others in town. The beef soup from chef is a must try. The hotel offers a 12% discount to dine in a different restaurant next door which should have been avoided. I had lunch there and found being mischarged for hidden items such as my seat and tissue. Prices of dish have been raised before discount. Receipt of how you are billed is not offered unless being asked for it. This restaurant's menu price is two to three times more expensive than average in town. Do they really play these small tricks to add profits in return of earning a bad reputation? Anyway, the bad dining experience has in a way ruined the impression of staying in this hotel.

Pros:

I absolutely loved this hotel. The attention to details- tea service, fruit and infused water each day, beautiful furnishings, fantastic staff...I wish I could have stayed a week. The hotel breakfast was delicious- I had no idea it was included.

Pros:

From the moment we arrived the hospitality was first class, our host went out of his way to make us welcome and help with the local restaurant, taxi and sightseeing destinations. If ever in Luoyang again we will most definitely stay here
