Modern elegance and excellent service
Pros:

The staff was fantastic. Evelyn, who checked us in, was friendly and thoughtful, taking extra care of us as we celebrated my birthday! The staff at Xport were also very personable. The pool area is a sophisticated, elegant, and calming oasis in the heart of the city.

Cons:

My TV remote didn't work. So I requested a new one and that one didn't work either. Couldn't watch TV but it was okay I watched it on my phone.

And I was not told about the $300 hold prior, so that wasn't ideal but i still stayed so wasn't upsetting enough to go somewhere else!

Short Stay, but Sweet
Pros:

What a great hotel! I'm sad we couldn't stay more than one night.
After so many flight delays, we finally rolled in just before midnight. The valets were amazing! So helpful and full of energy (Mason and Derek). We were all tired and they made the drop off a breeze.
The night staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful too.
The rooms were in great condition and everything was very clean.
Next time we're in Portland, we will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable experience but lacking the little details
Pros:

I really liked the lobby area and generally the hotel feels very welcoming. The rooms are spacious. Fact there is a steam room and a jacuzzi.

Cons:

Motion detection light switches in the bathroom make you blind when you go in the middle of the night, horrible idea. At least give people an option to turn them off. The sliding doors of the shower were not holding shut.
Oh and the fact that you can walk right to the pool with your shoes on - how is that a thing? There needs to be a policy to make sure the area stays sanitary.
