came for the retro game con- making this my new home away from home.
Pros:

Everything I hoped for and more was there- exceptional welcome and more. the breakfasts were tasty and plentiful, the staff welcoming and delighted to help, the atmosphere filled with small surprises in the textures and design (architecture lover), and the waiting area to the right of the entrance had a comfortable home library feel.

Cons:

the only minor concern were the thin walls- could here the neighboring room occupants pretty clearly after 10 pm, and any people talking loudly in the halls. Not something that could be easily fixed. Other than the thin walls it was amazing-

Pros:

Lobby and downstairs restaurant were elegant and chill. Rooms and furniture were modern and in good condition. Plenty of individual lights throughout the room. Bed was comfortable and clean.

Cons:

No parking, and no discount offered for nearby parking garage. Noise from halfway was not muffled enough by door and cojld hear every other person going in and out of their rooms. Bathroom door in room was a barn style slider that made a lot of noise when opening and closing.

The pool and hot tub was nice.

Cons:

I paid for the river view deluxe king through booking.com and unfortunately I didn’t receive that room. The hotel told me booking.com oversells rooms and they basically gave me just a regular deluxe king room without the river view which I was excited for and they didn’t try to accommodate for that. Just book directly, not through booking.com. Also breakfast isn’t included.

Overall it was average with a couple of minor inconveniences.
Pros:

I liked the location, it was easily accessible to walk to other places. The place was clean.

Cons:

AT night I heard a lot of noise, I am not sure if it is because I was next to the elevators, and I feel like I heard construction noises. The water pressure was very low, so taking a shower was longer. Also the shower head kept dripping water and made noise.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. Had a beautiful city view, restaurants and shopping plazas were nearby.

A great hotel for a conference in Portland
Pros:

The location was perfect for me, very close to the conference venue but also close to the riverfront and good restaurants. The facilities were quite nice and well-maintained and I enjoyed both restaurants within the building. My room was spacious and well equipped. Service was friendly and responsive.

Cons:

The room was rather dark, with only one window that overlooked other buildings, but I find that that is common for downtown, business/conference oriented hotels.
