Der Schreibtusch an der Ecke war nicht so sauber geputzt.
The hotel is located in the heart of Jimbocho, a wonderful neighborhood known for its many bookshops, cafés and cozy atmosphere. The location was definitely the highlight of my stay. The staff were kind and welcoming, although English communication was limited.
The room was stuffy and humid. As a result, there was an unpleasant smell both in the room and in the corridor, despite the air conditioning and dehumidifier being switched on. There was also no complimentary water, tea, or coffee, unless you paid an additional fee. Overall, I found the hotel underwhelming and overpriced for the quality offered. I do, however, recommend the neighborhood!

Luggage storage wasn’t easy and property was right on busy road
Right off of Jinbocho station. Room was clean. Books.
Hallway is musty. There is a dehumidifier in each room so it does not smell like basement in my room. I stayed for 4 days and if you stay more than 3 days then they are supposed to come and clean the room on the third day. However the room was never cleaned nor garbage bins are emptied during my stay.

There was a strong smell outside the elevator before entering the room, and the air conditioner had a heavy buildup of dust.

It's a clean and fair accommodation with excellent location in the Jimbocho 'book town' in central Tokyo, just a few steps from a metro station which made it easy to go around from here. The hotel is nicely designed and as credit to its name, it has books all over the place - in the lobby, in the hallways, in the room. That it is very orderly is probably the best description. We also liked the beds and pillows were nicely soft, and facilities were in good condition.
Though the hotel is designed in a specific style, it somehow still felt somewhat impersonal to me. The staff also clearly struggles with English which can be a cause of some miscommunication. Early check-in and later check-out are for a fee. That aside, I guess the biggest downside of the place is that they won't hold your luggage after check-out, or not beyond noon of the check-out day anyways. So if your flight is only in the evening, you'll need to find/arrange a different scheme to keep it until your departure.
Quirky concept, good sized room, very comfortable beds and quiet for the area
Check in all a bit soulless as is done remotely so limited interaction with staff.

清潔さについて一部良くないレビューが見られたので不安でしたが、覚悟していったもののおよそ清潔でした。少しかび臭く、清浄機のフィルターも誇りがすごかったですが。
