I liked the staff. Hel and others were great. Even helped me with my tour. Recommend the place.
room was huge, and amenities are basic. nice staff, but for the cost one cant expect four star amenities. breakfast food could be better.
It was in the heart of the local community and a short walk to anything. Interesting park across the river with lots of evening activities to watch or participate in.
Worst hotel experience of my life.
I was moving from another hotel to this one after a tour. Before bringing my luggage over, I came to the hotel to check if I would be able to checkin early or leave my luggage at the desk. I was told I could check in at 1:00. I returned with my luggage at 1:30, only to be told that the person who was in the room had decided not to checkout, so I could not checkin. When I got upset, miraculously, the found a room for me and said they just needed a minute to prepare it.
It truly was just a minute, which made me uncomfortable about how thoroughly they had cleaned it, but ok. The woman from the front desk then went to the room with me. We had to open the window, because the aromas in the room were giving me a migraine (this becomes important). She then left. I went to the bathroom, washed my hands, put the DND sign on my door and left.
When I returned, the curtains to the window were closed and the sink was full of water. Someone had clearly been in the room. When I told the manager, he said I was clearly not comfortable in the hotel and could leave with a refund. I confirmed three times that I would receive a refund and left. When hotels.com contacted them, they would not agree to the refund and I paid for 2 hotel stays for the same time period.
Note: The light switch for the room is controlled by a keycard in the hallway, controlling the power for 2 rooms, so your neighbor could turn off your power accidentally
The hotel room was modern, clean and updated. However, the lobby and rest of the hotel needs a makeover. Also, the hotel is wedged in what looks like a poor area but after a little exploration, there is an English pub/restaurant next door and a nice dining option a few doors down. The location is excellent!
