The view from the deck is stunning. The people are helpful here. They pickup and drop off from the ghats. The rooms are spacious. The food here is also good. They have both veg and non-veg options and the quality is good. The place is relatively clean and the decor is traditional. All in all, if somebody is looking for a good budget friendly houseboat, I'd recommend this place.

Our stay at the Badyari Palace houseboat was nothing short of magical! From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted warmly by the crew, who made us feel at home. The boat was beautifully maintained, with a charming blend of modern amenities and traditional decor, giving us the perfect mix of comfort and cultural immersion.
In terms of safety, the houseboat was well-equipped, and the staff ensured that we were always comfortable. They were professional, polite, and always ready to assist.

The room was cozy and cute. The decoration was very nice. Carpet all boat made it more stylish. It’s a perfect place to stay with friends and family. If you come around 8 people, you all can stay together in one boat. It’s really private and cozy. My only suggestion would be water could be more warm and clean

We had a pleasant stay at this place. First impression is amazing. Heartwarming welcome with smile, and carry our stuff to the room immediately. Interior design is very traditional and authentic, Kashmir style which makes tourists feel special.

During the stay, Fayaz, who manage this place, look after us very much. For every thing he helps in detail and always keeps smile on his face.

Dinner and breakfast provided, served hot and super delicious. No disappointment anytime. Especially the tea is the best of all.

Excellent place to stay and host Mr. Hilal was extremely courteous and helpful. The houseboat is well maintained with good interiors. We also opted to have our dinner at the houseboat itself and a simple vegetarian dinner based on our request was freshly cooked for us.

A friend and I reserved and paid for 2 rooms, 4 nights, at the Badyari Palace. When we arrived, the owner picked us up and brought us to the H B Panzey houseboat instead. He explained that he owned 4 identical houseboats and put people where it made sense based on group size and availability. We objected, but the Badyari Palace was occupied so we had no choice.

The HB Panzey houseboat is horrible. It is located directly across from the main street and you hear the constant beeping of cars throughout the day and night. The rooms are not air-conditioned (temp was 95F/35C), the electricity goes off for hours at a time, the beds are terrible and there is nowhere comfortable to sit anywhere in the place, including the patio. I doubt it has been updated in the past 50 years. You do not want to stay there.

Very nice place with soothing hospitality. Especially Mr. Hilal our host gracefully received us and instructed us with dos and donts. Very beautiful place with picturesque locality. Food was exceptionally good and tasty. We clicked various pics nearby. Shikara ride is must to do.

Starting was good which is very common everywhere, but the end before the checkout they made the worst decision of mine to stay in BADYARI HOUSE BOAT.
Why I m saying this, bcz at the the time of check out we ask for breakfast around 7:45am, n we have to leave for the airport at 8am. And the guy saying "kya kya nhi krna padta guest k lie" it was like they are doing EHSAAN or we are staying for free.
Kitchen 7:30am pe open hota h.. Seriously they will give answer like this. As if guest don't check out in the morning... Or they don't serve breakfast to the guest.. is this the hospitality in Kashmir.. or every kashmiri is doing same.. or just demanding tips tips on every step..
Very truly pls don't stay in house boat.. You will seriously stuck their.. stay outside the Dall Lake n do shikara ride. House boat just Loots nothing else....

For our Kashmir trip, we were planning to stay a night in houseboat. We were searching for a delux house boat at a decent price. Luckily got Badyari palace after a bit of research. The check-in and check-out was very smooth. The hospitality was great. The houseboat is very clean. The food was great. And the complimentary Shikara ride was also great. Special mention to Mr. Hilal who is an exceptional guy. Very helpful, sober and interactive. We were traveling wih our family and we got help from him whenever we needed. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Luxury means AC and LED rest is all same as other houseboats and they charge 7000/- without food for that. The manger has no sense at all. They don't treat you like you have booked a luxury property. Their behavior is like roadside people you will experience far better hospitality even at 2000/- houseboat. They will fight for even 20/- rupees. Charge for crossing even after promising that it will be free of cost. He is Rude and Greedy, you didn't feel at all that you are staying at a luxury property they will make you feel like its a road side property, if you are looking for luxurious property prefer Mughal Shereton they will charge 10000/- without food but you will experience luxury at least.
