Cons:

Il vero punto di forza della struttura è il personale, davvero ottimo, gentile e super accogliente. La stanza era discreta, senza infamia e senza lode, ma comunque adatta per il soggiorno. Unica nota dolente i costi dei trasferimenti, che abbiamo trovato un po' troppo cari rispetto alla media. Nel complesso un'esperienza soddisfacente grazie alla grande ospitalità dello staff.

Cheap and somewhat cheerful.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

It wasn't very clean. Dust and hair on the floor, hair on the hairdryer, mould around the lids of the shower dispensers, a mark on the blanket on the bed. Just a blanket on the bed; one that just barely covered the bed so was a bit small for the two of us. There was no top sheet.

Pros:

We've booked an "economy" room, which was in the basement. So they actually gave us a free upgrade to a better room. Big thumbs up. Staff were friendly, our hotel room and toilet were clean as well. Overall, a nice place to stay!

Rooms are better than some described in the reviews, in a Turkish style with a bit of a luxury touch. The rooms are very well equipped with kettle, tea, coffee, water, mini fridge, hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo. Despite the furniture being a little worn out, the services and amenities match a European four star hotel. The cleaning is excellent, being done daily. The staff is very kind and helpful, available 24/7.
Even if the nearby surroundings are a bit poor, you have everything you need in reach of a 5 minutes walk: Restaurants, Cafes, grocery stores, souvenirs, travel services etc. The most important landmarks of Istanbul found in Sultanahmet area (The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, The Grand Bazaar, Nuruosmaniye Mosque etc.) are within a 10-15 minutes walk.
And above all the price is fabulous, an excellent value for money.
