Cons:

The refrigerator was hot to the touch so I unplugged it. The bathroom lights didn’t work and the sofa/extra bed wasn’t large enough to small for a 5 foot person to sleep on.

Some good some mediocre
Pros:

This hotel is in a good location to be walk to the coast and a nice beach. It’s about 1.5 miles from the town centre. Complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise until we realised it was all plastic cutlery and not really many healthy options. I’d rather pay $10 more and get a nicer and wider choice. The other annoying thing from an international traveller standpoint was the room did not have a safe which means you have to carry passports etc around with you. The housekeeping was good and you could ask for a time. I said 11am but more than once the cleaning happened much later.

On the edge of town
Pros:

A great spot to stay on the edge of Half Moon Bay. We did the coastal walk from the hotel, through town, and then back. It was a worthwhile 2 hour walk. Everything in the hotel worked well and the breakfast was substantial.

Cons:

I could not for the life of me figure out the TV. There were a lot of options, two remotes and the connection seemed to keep dropping.

Room security and hospitality in question.
Pros:

Next to an English Pub.

Cons:

On the outskirts of Half Moon Bay. Lack of room security: They wrote my room number and entry code to the room door on same small Best Western envelope the key cards used go in. So if that is lost and found, that person would have access to your room. Lastly, no person at the front desk full time, they check you in and out via an AI machine…very little direct customer service.

Overall, the stay was great! I will be back!
Pros:

The property was very clean and comfortable! The staff was a great and attentive. Breakfast was amazing.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t like was there were a few times I had to fill the tank to the toilet to be able to flush it! It happened at least three times. I didn’t mind having to do it however when on vacation. I don’t want to have to do it.! other than that everything else was amazing!

We loved having clean room. Want our next trip longer.
Pros:

The breakfast was good. We believe the cook called in or was late. The manager had to step in.

Cons:

We would like to have a bigger room or an adjoining room with a private bathroom. All the amenities in the room were good. We would have like to have newer cell phone charging stations.
