breakfast was nice, more variety would be good. location was relaxing the town had not much to offer but the property and gardens were stunning.
the journey to the rooms was a bit unfinished, rocks and grass it was wet and leeches attached to me both times.
Private, well cared for, lovely choice of furniture. Reception staff very kind and efficient. Massage was excellent.

This is a very lovely small hotel. It’s in a great location right next to the National Park .The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished . The staff are helpful and charming . The restaurant is excellent we were really pleased that we chose to eat there both nights .

Location was excellent and was clean and friendly.
Expensive for what it is. No newspapers to read in the morning and the rooms are not sound proof as you can hear everything next door.
The facilities are outstanding, the pool and sauna and rooms are terrific
The staff were lovely however they clearly did not have enough staff on for the time we stayed there. Considerable wait times for even drink orders, huge issues with delivery of our meal the first night we stayed there as well as a turndown service which was only a quarter complete. Overall, the price point would be completely justified if the hotel rostered in enough staff to meet guest demand. The staff who did work were mostly polite, kind and tried there best to service all guests to an acceptable standard

We stayed 2 nights here for a mini break from the city and experienced the best customer service, the attention to detail was exceptional. All staff were polite and attentive.
The location is stunning, quiet and views from the property overlooking the bush land are wonderful . The rooms were comfortable and beautifully furnished. We had dinner at the Firehouse restaurant on the first night which was great, and went out on the second day and ate at a local pub which was a nice balance.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily return again, maybe try one of the freestanding lodges next time!

Simply stunning. Gorgeous design and wonderful restaurant - amazing food.
There’s nothing not to like.
A lovely building in well maintained grounds. A huge bedroom and bathroom (no bath) and mostly well designed common areas. The spa facilities are mostly excellent, great pool and good sauna, except for the steam room which is not fit for purpose.
Room 16 has appalling soundproofing and bland decor. The soundproofing is so bad that the noise from room 17’s bathroom was extremely intrusive. When in bed it sounded like your neighbours were showering with you! This is a material problem and needs remedial attention. Not acceptable for a hotel of this standard.
