The floors were dirty and we had to wear shoes inside or the dirt would build up on your feet.
Paid top dollar for a small studio with great views, so expected a great experience. Very poor start because of poor management. Management is off site which might be fine if they didn't muck up 3 pretty important things right at the outset. Both keys did not work. After lugging our stuff up to the unit - a long way from the undercover carpark- could not contact management through normal channels to find out how they would provide us with keys to get in. It took an hour before I got to speak to someone from the Best of Magnetic management group and they had and have an extreme reluctance to apologise for any if their obvious errors. Unit is meant to have tea and coffee making facilities - and low and behold no mugs, no teaspoons, just wine glasses - no help for coffee. Middle of winter - one blanket on bed - no back up blankets of any kind in cupboard, This is something that the customer shouldn't have to ask for - I have better things to do on my holiday than entertain them with empty gestures instead of just getting these basic things right from the outset. King size bed - supposedly "zipped" drifted apart after a couple of days. Not even a king size mattress cover over the two single beds - just the sheet. The resort and Best of Magnetics compendium emphasises being quiet and considerate of other guests. Best of Magnetics personal cleaners because the owners have decided to use off the premises management, were extremely noisy and raucous, and being considerate of the guests one foot away, not even on their radar. On Booking.com site it said Dining area, upper floors accessible by elevator, Dining Table - these 3 things were not true of the studio we stayed in. There is no dining table inside or out. Misleading advertising. Reference to the fictional dining room was also on Best of Magnetic site. And management happy to try to blame anybody but themselves for basic failures in their care of the people paying the money.
Great location and view from the balcony
Needs a couple of extra items.
We were there for a week and although it’s not got a kitchen a few bbq utensils for use at the shared area would be handy.
Also since not serviced I’d recommend a broom and dust pan and brush left in the room for use.
N/A
was not included , all other rooms had it
had to beg for extra towels
The location of this room was perfect. It overlooks the Marina the outdoor party area and the ferry landing point. So we had free entertainment of one sort or another every day.
The bed was comfortable there was adequate seating and the decent balcony (with table and chairs) meant that we could eat breakfast there.
Although described as a "studio" this is really a large hotel room, however there is sufficient crockery/cutlery and a fridge, electric jug, toaster so that this is not really a problem unless you plan to eat-in a lot. A microwave would have been nice. Don't want to complain, it's a nice, workable environment.
Had a great few days on magnetic island, even a tropical low couldn’t take away what a beautiful place it is. Resort was great has a lovely pool. Restaurant service was a bit slow but food was great 😋
Disappointment with not very clean toilet carpets skirts was not clean had to clean myself.
Peppers is a good hotel in a great location. The staff of Best of Magnetic were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room 1362 was not clean. The carpet is dated and stained. On arrival I found a grape just under the bed, in full view, and a small carton of apricot jam down the side of the fridge. Again, in full view. The bathroom floor appeared clean until you closed the door and saw a dirty area where the cleaner had failed to clean. Apparently the room has a ‘starter pack’ of toilet paper, some tea and coffee and a small carton of milk. After that you by supplies from the IGA a short walk from the hotel. I don’t recall being informed about the starter pack and asked for some toilet paper after those provided were used. The BOM staff member very kindly gave me a couple of rolls so, again, I cannot fault the BOM staff in any way.
