Great hotel, great food and all inclusive drinks options including premium brands. Staff really good and always ready to help make your stay an easy one. Manager always around for any questions and gave us complimentary meal vouchers after checking out because of our late flight.

We absolutely love the Blue Ivy and have just enjoyed another fantastic stay. This was a return visit, although we hadn’t notified the hotel that we were coming back, so we were especially touched by the lovely welcome.

The hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated between the beach and the main strip. The staff are all so kind, friendly and welcoming, but a special mention has to go to Nico, the manager. He is very visible around the hotel, approachable and takes the time to personally meet and speak with guests.

When we arrived at our room, there was a card explaining that it wasn’t the room we had booked and that we had been upgraded. We also had some lovely little extras in the room, which were very much appreciated. Nico then personally spoke to us and said he wanted to gift us something, giving us a voucher for a complimentary meal. I’m not sure whether he recognised us as returning guests, but it was such a kind and generous gesture and made us feel really appreciated.

The only downside is the sunbed situation, which really is quite mad! We witnessed people running to reserve beds, with towels then being left on them while they were unoccupied for long periods. I do think a fairer system should be introduced, perhaps with a time limit on unattended beds, as it would make things much fairer for everyone.

Aside from that, we absolutely love the Blue Ivy. ❤️ The beautiful hotel, fantastic location, wonderful staff and personal touches make it somewhere we will happily return to.

Just returned from our 3rd stay at The Blue Ivy. The hotel is in an ideal location no matter where you want to go on the strip. We had a room with a great view of the sea. Mr Nicos made us feel so welcome and David on reception was so helpful as always. All of the staff are so friendly and always have a smile. Thank you to all of the staff for making our holiday so nice, see you next year.💕x

I don’t normally write reviews, but on this occasion it seems rude not to….

We travelled as a family of four with two teenage children. I booked the hotel based on previous Trip Advisor reviews, and I’m SO glad I did.

In summary - The hotel is fantastic. The staff are fantastic. The location is fantastic.

Believe the hype.

A special shout out to the Executive Chef who noticed on one evening that our youngest daughter couldn’t find anything at the evening meal which she wanted to eat. He came to our table and in the most subtle and low key way, asked what they could make for her to eat. 10 minutes later, a freshly prepared spaghetti bolognaise arrived at the table. The chef then checked in again every night after that to make sure she had a food option she was happy with. What a top man - thanks again.

We will definitely return to the Blue Ivy. I’d suggest you book here too - you won’t regret it.

The Blue Ivy Hotel is everything you could want from a hotel—and so much more. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt genuinely looked after.
The location is perfect, just a five-minute walk to the strip in one direction and five minutes to the beach in the other, making it easy to enjoy everything Protaras has to offer.
What really makes this hotel special is the people. Nicos, the manager, and every single member of staff—from reception and housekeeping to the chefs, waiting staff and bar team—were absolutely fantastic. Everyone greeted us with a smile, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. It was clear that Nicos genuinely cares about both his guests and his staff. You could see how happy everyone was working there, and during the welcome meeting we learnt that many of the team have worked with him for years, which says a lot. Nicos was always visible around the hotel, had an open-door approach, and always found time to chat with us, making everyone feel valued.
Our first impression of the hotel was wonderful. After arriving on a late flight, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and fresh rolls, which was such a thoughtful touch. Every time we walked through reception, we were greeted with a friendly smile and hello, and the beautiful scent throughout the reception area made it feel even more welcoming.
Our room 324 was modern, spacious and very clean with a nice view. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was stocked with lovely toiletries. One of our favourite little touches was returning each evening to find delicious homemade biscuits with a thoughtful card waiting for us. It really made us feel special.
I'm usually not someone who spends time around hotel pools, but the adults-only pool area completely changed my mind. It was spotless, peaceful and beautifully maintained. The pool was the perfect size, the water temperature was just right, and it was easy to get in and out of. There were plenty of sunbeds available, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a lovely place to unwind.
The food deserves a special mention because it was simply outstanding. Without a doubt, it was the best food we've ever eaten in a hotel. Everything was freshly prepared, with an incredible variety to choose from. The chefs were clearly passionate about what they created, and they should be very proud. We especially loved the Cypriot night, which was a real highlight of our holiday. Thank you, Nicos, for encouraging us to experience your wonderful restaurant.
The entertainment was very relaxing - just right for us. It complemented the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel perfectly rather than overwhelming it. Our favourite was the violinist at the welcome evening, who created such a lovely atmosphere. All of the entertainment throughout our stay added to the hotel's calm and welcoming vibe.
A special mention also has to go to the bartender, who made lovely Piña Coladas!
Overall, Blue Ivy is a hotel that truly understands hospitality. Nicos and his incredible team go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and cared for, and it shows in everything they do. It's rare to find a hotel where every member of staff is so genuinely friendly and passionate about what they do.

The hotel and staff are a true credit. Nikos was the best manager we have ever met and we have travelled all over the world. Any issue was immediately resolved however small. He goes out of his way to ensure all guests have a great vacation.
The staff are a credit to this hotel. So attentive and friendly. Warmly greeted daily. Always smiling and very polite.

Sam the lifeguard was also lovely. Greeted us every morning and kept the pool area clean and tidy.
Bar provided branded drinks and there is a happy hour daily.
It was our anniversary and a birthday and the hotel took that on board, providing proseco and cake.

The breakfast was great and lots of choice. Fresh omelettes.

We ate at the hotel twice courtesy of Nikos, food was amazing.

The location was perfect, very close to the beach and strip.

I have stayed in Protaros many times but this was the best hotel. Much better than the beach facing ones.

I've been coming to Cyprus every year since I was 7 and have tried a lot of different hotels in protaras. Me and my boyfriend recently stayed at the blue ivy for 10 nights bed and breakfast in a side sea view room.
Food - Breakfast was great, plenty of choice even if you're fussy and the food was always hot and quickly replenished. We had lunch twice during our stay which was also really nice and the menu was varied and fairly priced. Drinks at the pool bar were great, lots of variety and the manager even gave us vouchers for cocktails and soft drinks. You can't pay cash at the pool bar or restaurant so it's either card payment or you can charge to your room and pay cash at the end of your stay at reception.
Pool Area- Both pools were exceptionally clean and tidy including the sunbeds. People rushed for a sunbed in the morning and reserved them for hours around the adults only pool which was annoying but we always managed to get a bed round the family pool. The sunbeds are padded and comfortable. Pool towels are included and available daily.
Entertainment- The violinist and saxophone players around the pool were great, and created a nice atmosphere. Staff joined in dancing and everybody seemed to enjoy it!
Rooms- The rooms are modern and amazingly clean, the air con is great too. The beds are comfortable and the balconies are spacious. We payed extra and booked a side sea view room, I was a little disappointed with the side sea view compared to other hotels I have stayed in the area. We were facing a makeshift car park and could hardly see the view when we were sat out on our balcony. We probably wouldn't pay the extra to book it again. We requested late checkout but it was unavailable the day we were leaving. The hotel doesn't have a courtesy room either but there is a shower downstairs in the gym which you can use after checking out and there is a luggage room to leave your cases.
Staff- All of the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. From the pool bar staff to the hotel manager everybody was friendly and always said hello. It was my birthday whilst we stayed here and reception helped my boyfriend organise balloons to be left in our room and even left me a birthday cake which was lovely.
Location- Perfect location, the hotel is situated 3 minutes from the beach and strip with bars and restaurants.

We returned to this hotel after booking while we were there last year. We didn't think it could get any better but we were wrong. From the moment we checked in to our room which was upgraded (due to being a returning customer) we were blown away by the fantastic view and spotless room. The hotel itself is in a fabulous location and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. What makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the truly amazing, hardworking staff who go above and beyond to make your holiday extra special. It feels like you're part of one big happy family with Nicos the manager and his staff always on hand to help and say hello. We honestly couldn't fault this hotel in any way and the food is on another level when it comes to all inclusive. The drinks quality on all inclusive plus is brilliant. It was our anniversary while we were there and we had a bottle of bubbly and chocolate strawberries in our room. We also had an amazing cake brought to our table while having our evening meal. It made our day so special. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay exceptional.
We have already booked for our 3rd year in a row and can't wait xx

Absolutely amazing hotel, from the restaurant to the location to the pools, everything was superb. Staff were very friendly and the manager Nicos was very kind. The atmosphere was amazing and relaxed. The rooms are big and was very good value.

Amazing

The hotel itself has a unique atmosphere, it is like microcosmos consisting of hard- working staff, friendly hotel manager , waiters , bartender, chef and house keepers. It is spotless, with a special sweet scent , and amazing vibe, filled with music and live musicians , playing the musical instruments. The politeness, humbleness of some of the employees is touching. I really recommend this hotel to the ones who love international cuisine , and enjoy delicious meals, the creations of the chef. His specialities are fantastic!!!! Thanks to all who created the unforgettable experience.

What can I say all the great reviews this hotel has had are 100% right, from the moment we arrived everything has been absolutely perfect, From the amazing staff on reception make you feel so welcome to the waiters, nothing was a problem form them. Also have to mention how friendly Nikos the manager of the hotel was, came round when he could to meet guests and again I want to thank him for the meal vouchers on our last day. I 100 % recommend this hotel, rooms beautiful, food amazing, just prefect !!!! Thank you 🥰🥰🥰

Attentive staff from the managers to the housekeeping could not do enough for us.

I never thought the food onboard the Royal Caribbean cruises could be beat but, the Blue Ivy came very close! A wide variety of lunch menu catering for all requirements & would even make things not on the menu to accompany the meal. The buffet was exceptional, each dish was presented with care & precision & was packed with flavour, you certainly won’t want to eat out I promise!

There were times we treated ourselves with a lie in bed & was pleasantly surprised that subeds were still available at 10am.

The strip is 1 minute away & a pleasant 5 minute stroll to the beach makes the location perfect.

We had an amazing time & we’re saddened to leave our new extended family behind.
