Comfortable 2 night stay in Amritsar
Pros:

Clean hotel in the central part of Amritsar. I arrived from Pakistan and drove from the border on my bike to this hotel. Hotel is easy to find with safe parking. Staff is accommodating and very friendly. There are restaurants nearby and the golden temple can be reached easily with tuktuk. Rooms have hot water and AC.

Palace Hotel, Amritsar - a calm oasis amid chaos.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They suggested restaurants to eat at and organised a marvellous trip to the border closing ceremony. They were also the cheapest quote for this trip.

Cons:

We were really pleased. If I had to find fault there was no fridge or room safe but we didn't miss them. Coffee making facility in the room would have been a bonus but again did not detract from the trip.

Pros:

Not in a great neighborhood. No good dinner nearby. My room had no hot water in bathroom. Room was very cold so they brought me a space heater.
