The hotel staff were Very nice and on the ball, and the room we stayed in was airy and clean and has 2 balconies and a giant window. The parking was imperative and the in room “cook your own” breakfast was a really nice touch. The views were the best part! Really lovely hotel, would highly reccomend.
The property was gated and you need to be buzzed into the gate via an intercom with camera in order to enter the Lobby and rooms. The room has a physical key. Unfortunately, upon returning in the wee hours of the morning the night watchman decided that because I could not show him my key and accurately recall my room number that he would not buzz me into the gate. Instead, I had to dump the contents of my backpack onto the street of this slightly sketchy neighborhood while alone to try and find my key. He could not be bothered/convinced to let me in by telling him my name and the fact that I had signed their log book with all my information. Not only was it UNSAFE, embarrassing, and amazingly inconvenient for me, it was also disruptive for their neighbors who live there and who yelled out the window to let me in since this seems to be a common occurrence. I will NEVER stay here again. I travel solo around the world on a regular basis for both work and leisure and have never been treated this way. Perhaps in the future they will improve the method of entering the property eliminating this issue because the room itself was lovely and spacious.
