A special place for sure!

Wonderful staff! Beautiful ambience, wonderland dream. Food is A++++! Majestic surroundings and lovely aesthetics.

This hotel might be great for local romantic get away but very inconvenient and uncomfortable for travelers. When you find the property, finding your way in the place is a challenge especially at night. All rooms are up a winding staircase. They called is several times prior to and during our brief attempt at sleep to ask if we would be dining. When we said no they still kept inquiring about food allergies. They called to find out what time we were arriving. They called again early morning presumably to try and get us to come down and buy breakfast. We were trying to sleep so we didn’t answer. There was tv and cable in the listing but none in the room. My husband likes to shut down after a long drive with tv before bed. They told us we would have had to request it before arrival There is nothing really to see on the property despite that advertisement. There is no spa, they call in local masseuses that Im assuming also have to be requested prior to arrival

It's always a treat to be at this property. You feel "taken care of" in this busy world. Thank you!

This hotel was one of the best hotels I had ever been to. I loved everything about it! I would go again and again. I recommend it highly.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

My room was right out of a French Chateau with high windown that looked out to the mountains. The staff were very attentive and easy to reach if I needed anything (like coffee at 5:30 a.m. when I took my dog out to do his business).
And . . . one of the best resturants in California, Elderberry House, is just a leasurly stroll away and I had a wonderful dinner with wine tasting, because I did not have to drive.

Everything about this property was fantastic. The Chateau was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Elderberry House and The Celler were both excellent. Most of all, the staffs were wonderful and provided with excellent services.

Our three day was so amazing we came back for a fourth. You will not be disappointed!

Best kept secret! I wouldn’t have known about this place if I hadn’t drove by into Yosemite. I decided to extend my stay and stayed here. It was as if I had been transported to the south of France. Breakfast was superb. The restaurant has a world class tasting menu. The service was impeccable. The best massage at the spa after a week of hiking. My stay was better than the Ritz Carlton.

I believe in 20 years this is the first time I bothered to submit a review. This destination is a hidden gem, far worth the investment to stay.

It is like a trip to the past and you feel as if you are not in the US but in France or similar European countries.

What ended up as one night to try will end up us purposely planning a trip in this area just to stay here for an extended weekend.

Magical experience. My friend and I stayed for my birthday and we could not have had better service or accomodations. The staff were attentive, the setting beautiful, the room, and the chateau itself were wonderfully and perfectly appointed. We felt as though we were in a fairy tale! Dining at the restaurant is a must, and I highly recommend the wine pairing. Also, breakfast was excellently prepared. We walked the grounds and enjoyed all of the little decor surprises along the paths.
