Amazing hotel and staff
Pros:

Was upgraded for free which was a huge surprise and greatly appreciated. Staff were amazing. Reception helped me with issues with booking.com and could not stop assisting. The breakfast room and food was like a 5 star restaurant, the staff were so great and went out of their way to ensure breakfast order was correct. The staff lift was broken but the reception gentleman moved 2 heavy suitcases up stairs from level 1 to level 2. Legend.

Cons:

Our stay was only 3 nights. Could have stayed much longer.

قمت بحجز سويت معين تفاجأت بشقه مجدده مختلفه عن حجزي بعد تسجيل الوصول نزلت بلغتهم اخبروني ان السويت الذي حجزته غير متوفر يومها ومحجوز من اشخاص اخرين!!! ولأني كنت تعبان من السفر رضيت بنوم تلك الليله بعد تأكيدهم لي أنني سأقوم بالانتقال باليوم التالي للسويت الذي قمت بحجزه من الأساس !!! حدثت لي حالة وفاة في العائله اضطررت المغادره مبكراً وأبلغتهم بذالك لإلغاء آخر ليلة متبقيه كذبو علي واخبروني ان الخيار ليس من عندهم ولكن من بوكينج وبوكينج يقول انه من الفندق نفسه عموماً لم أهتمّ كثيراً لأنني كنت منشغل بالعزاء ولكن ارسلو لي بعدها فاتوره دون إلغاء الليله الاضافيه وقامو كذالك باضافه مشروبات ريد بول لم اطلبها. تجربة خايسه لاتغرك الديكورات المشكله في الاداره لديهم

Absolutely exceptional — highly recommended
Pros:

Having traveled extensively around the world and experienced many luxury hotels, we can confidently say that this stay was truly outstanding. From the very first moment, everything reflected the highest level of quality and attention to detail.

The room and bathroom were impeccably designed, with every element thoughtfully selected and of premium standard. The service was flawless — attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience.

Perfectly located in the heart of the city, the hotel is set in a beautifully restored historic bank building, which adds a unique sense of character and elegance. The blend of architectural heritage and sophisticated design creates a truly special atmosphere.

We would recommend this hotel without hesitation and would be delighted to return for another stay.

Convenient place to stay in Edinburgh but did not ultimately meet our expectations.
Pros:

Very helpful and friendly front desk staff, room was spacious with laundry and cooking facilities which was useful. The restaurant Hawksmoor is located within the hotel which is convenient if you don’t want to walk far and like good quality steak. Breakfast was good quality and included in our rate, and the breakfast staff were kind and helpful.

Cons:

The room was hard to access a long way from reception involving two lifts and long walks down poorly lit corridors. It was stuck at the rear of the hotel so no view.

Superb! Will most definitely be back!
Pros:

We were super impressed with the hotel and our first stay! We had booked for 2 nights and unfortunately due to a family member hospital admission had to shorten our stay. The hotel was super accomodating in modifying our booking- thank you Siobhan in reservations! It was my birthday plus we were celebrating our sons birthday in the Hawkmoor restaurant within the hotel ( great meal and service- for another review)- and they left us cake and champagne. Our room was gorgeous with views to Calton hill and the staff were lovely! We are in edinburgh often yet havent ever stayed here but this is def our new find! Thank you!

superbe mais organisation petit déjeuner nulle!
Pros:

Personnel surtout celui de l'acceuil vraiement au top, litterie tres confortable, calme, localisation au coeur de la ville, architecture et décoration interieure

Cons:

le petit déjeuner, non pas qu'il ne soit pas bon mais soit vous avez une cuisine réactive soit vous faites un buffet. attendre 15 minutes que l'on vienne prendre notre commande + 25/30 min pour que les assiettes arrivent et au compte goute ce n'est pas acceptable dans une hotel de ce standing. (surtout à 8h du matin avec moins de 10 personne dans la salle).
et quelle idée d'pporter le sucré puis le salé la boissons en avance de faite qu'elle est froide quand le reste arrive, conseil pour le management de l'hotel rperendre completement ce point spécifique!
