EVERYTHING
I don't know whether it was a scam or not but we were redirected to another hotel called Hanoi Boutique House due to beg bugs or something. The room and bathroom were tiny, quite loud outside (it's also in the old quarter). Everything was old and seemed half-broken. No wardrobe, no kettle. For 3 people just 1 tiny night drawer, no chairs, no other surfaces to put things. Ants everywhere. Huge but super old balcony - but it's loud and underneath people sell raw chickens...
The man at the reception seems friendly but it feels like it is fake in order to please people.
It was a disaster overall.
The room was fine.
The stairs are a bit much is you live on the top floor.
The staff was to pushy on the trips with them, "with us its cheaper", "we do it better".
Amazing location , really clean and cozy property. The owner was so helpful with organizing everything for us and helping us with recommendations ! Really recommend everyone to stay here
Thomas is the best host you can get. Always smiling and ready to help. 🙏
They offer an airport pick up at competitive price. Walking distance from things to see and do in Hanoi. Clean, no bugs. Very pleasant employees. I gave a good 7.
Room and furniture little banged up. It looks way better in pictures! My street facing window was not soundproof much. Scooter and honk noise quite late and very early. Gave a good 7. Lost some points for street noise, room need TLC. Would score better if 25-30% cheaper. Priced too high.
Very friendly host and a great location in the old town, whet you are able to walk to anywhere you wanna be
The bathroom is a bit basic - a shower curtain would do wonders so that you do t wet the entire room
The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make your stay easy and comfortable. Especially when it comes to check-in and out. The beds are comfortable, which I appreciated, as I tried to get over my jet lag here. Toothpaste, toothbrushes and hand soap provided for you, including clean towels. The location is brilliant, especially if you'd like to visit the key sights of Hanoi. Also, have no fear if you are arriving very late or very early, the night receptionist will be able to let you in.
The only critique I have is that the water when taking showers was cold.
Thomas the manager was so helpful and friendly. He booked our tour for the Ha Giang loop and a food tour. He made everything easy.
I would have liked breakfast included.
Comfortable, lovely host
The room was spacious and as the pictures showed. The bathroom had a bathtub with a shower and everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable.
The location is very convenient, close to the old quarter and everything we needed was reachable by foot.
The best part was the owner Thomas who was so friendly and attentive. He gave us great tips for restaurants when we asked and helped with getting us to the bus to Sapa. While we didn't use the excursion booking service he offers (we didn't know and booked from Germany in advance) I am sure he will gladly help you book any bus or activity you like.
Thank you Thomas for a great experience, we will come back if we ever return to Hanoi!
