Mooi gelegen B&B met een prachtig zicht, verwarmd zwembad, knap gedecoreerde kamers, airconditioning op de kamer, ruim en vers ontbijt, … Een echte aanrader!

Zeer hartelijke ontvangst, ruimschoots voldoende uitleg omtrent de kamer en de faciliteiten. Enorme suite met gedetailleerde afwerking en aandacht voor luxe en comfort. Onze gastheren waren erg behulpzaam bij het reserveren van restaurants, en gaven veel tips over uitjes, wandelingen et cetera. Het ontbijt was piekfijn, verzorgd, en er werd vaak gevraagd of er nog iets toegevoegd kon worden. Ook de table d'hôtes is een aanrader. Eerlijke prijs voor een excellente, persoonlijke service! Een dikke pluim!

Vriendelijke ontvangst, prachtige locatie, zeer verzorgd ontbijt, stijlvolle decoratie, gezellige sfeer, nette en aangename kamer, zeer proper sanitair.

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad bij De Brakelhoen. Vriendelijk, goede service, prachtige accommodatie, heerlijk ontbijt, mooi grote slaapkamer met een heerlijk bed. Het was in één woord perfect. We bevelen het zeker aan!

Geert and Hans were excellent hosts and took very good care of us. We really enjoyed their company and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is excellent with excellent presentation.

The rooms were beautiful and very well decorated. A lot of time and thought put into the rooms.

You will not be disappointed and we miss De Brakelhoen already!

Love this place. The house is beautiful, timeless, elegantly and sophisticated, yet still very warm and homely; I could have happy stayed for much longer!! The hosts Hans and Geert are friendly, attentive, but not over bearing. The room I stayed in was immaculate, the bed was super comfy (I have great night sleep), and the bathroom was well appointed with a large walk in Rain shower, twin sinks and so on. I was expecting a fairly "normal" breakfast, but Hans and Geert go the extra mile and breakfast was truly a wonderful surprise, and very much appreciated; made me smile. Hans and Geert have great taste. which really show, and their attention to detail makes all the difference. Lovely people, beautiful home, and I would recommend staying here without a hesitation.

Es war wegen des Preises eigentlich nicht unsere erste Wahl; wir wollten Verwandte besuchen, leider direkt an den Tagen der Flandern-Radrundfahrt. Aufgrund der fehlenden Möglichkeiten landeten wir hier; zum Glück! Ja, es ist sicher nicht preiswert, aber es ist jeder Euro wert. Herzliche Inhaber, super Frühstück mit Riesenauswahl, viel zum Gucken für Liebhaber von Antiquitäten, sehr gepflegter Pool und ein Außen-Whirlpool im Garten und vieles mehr. Und alles beginnt schon mit der Toreinfahrt und der Auffahrt auf das Grundstück... Schauen Sie sich das selber an!

De Brakelhoen is THE most luxurious hotel experience we have had in Europe! The linens, bed, and other finishes were luxurious beyond those in larger 5-star hotels. Breakfast included award-winning breads and croissants (yes, better than Parisian croissants) among other local delicacies. The surrounding views and garden make the setting most peaceful, perfect for an exciting weekend of world-class bicycle racing across the Belgium countryside. An exquisite meal (@ Meat 44) and quaint local pub (@ The Koppenburg) were a short ride from the hotel. De Brakelhoen earns the highest recommendation for the discerning traveler, definitely making our list of favorite luxury getaways.
