Sands Hotel and Spa

Second year staying here for the beginning of tennis qualifying matches for the BNP Paribas, Indian Wells tournament and still love the decor and ambiance of this stay! Beds are comfortable, attention to detail is amazing, and staff is very friendly! The smell of the orange blossoms or jasmine is wonderful too... but did not try any of the spa treatments. Food is really, really good and loved the offer to split salad and entree to save.

Warm, homey, decadent

We headed to the desert for a visit with family and stayed at the Sands. Lovely stay. Great food, beautiful room, awesome spa.

This is a Mr. and Mrs. Smith property - the first one that I have stayed out. It is retro but not old. I was a little surprised by the smallness of the room. I got upgraded one level and was alone but with two of us in there it would have been tight. There was a lovely patio with a lounging area. Poolside was quiet with a beautiful overhang of trees so you could choose how much sun to get. The pool itself was awesomely warm, well sized, and welcoming. Jacuzzi was back in a corner. Pink Cabana was on site for meals and the food seemed appealing but on the higher end of the price spectrum for a breakfast or lunch - but then again I don't spend much usually. Rooms were very well appointed. Parking was easy and location great for adventures both east and west. One could also just enjoy a vacay by the poolside as well. The staff was friendly, observant, and gracious. Bed and pillows were of high quality. I like that there was a variety of price points for rooms which also reflect the uniqueness of each of hte rooms. Certainly a destination place.

I was so impressed with this property. The room was wonderful -- clean, spacious, and well designed. The staff went above and beyond both at the front desk and at the restaurant.

We appreciate the ability to simply chill at The Sands. Everything about it is relaxing and brings calm. It's exactly what you hope for when you set foot on property. Thank you to all who make it a reality for those of us who visit. We'll certainly be back.

Sands Hotel & Spa exceeded every expectation. The design is stunning, the atmosphere serene, and the service genuinely warm. From the beautiful pool area to the luxurious spa, every detail feels thoughtfully curated. A perfect desert escape—stylish, relaxing, and unforgettable.

We've stayed many times at The Sands and it was always great so we were excited to stay again.

We checked in at 3.15pm and were told the room wasn't ready but they were going to be "super fast" getting it ready. They said they'd text me to let me know when it was ready. At 5.45pm I called back to check and was told it was finally ready.

During the evening it was very hot as can be expected of course in Palm Desert, so we turned the AC on. The vibration every 5 seconds made sleep impossible, and after we both took Advil for the second time, we decided to check out early.

We cannot be the first people to have had this issue with the AC and it's clearly just laziness why it hasn't been fixed. I never want to leave a bad review but in this case it's definitely warranted.
