I stayed at Three Inn, Malé with my wife from 16th to 18th October, and our overall experience was very disappointing.
Staff & Service:
The staff were unfriendly and unprofessional. They did not smile or greet guests and were often busy making coffee or tea instead of attending to customers. No one helped us with our luggage, and we had to carry everything ourselves to the room. The attitude and service were far below hospitality standards.
Room Condition:
We stayed in Room 501, and the room was poorly maintained. The door closer was broken, the bathroom water was rusty, and there was no cable TV available. At midnight, our air conditioner started leaking water, and when I contacted the reception, it took about 40 minutes for someone to attend. The staff mentioned that the reception closes at 12 AM and claimed all rooms were occupied, so they couldn’t change our room. They only cleaned the AC mess, placed a towel on the floor, and said they would check later. After 20 minutes, the staff knocked again to say another room was available — but by then, it was late, and we were already very disappointed.
Maintenance & Atmosphere:
The hotel seems to lack regular maintenance, and the condition of the facilities shows it. There are notices everywhere warning guests not to eat in the room or stating that any item lost or damaged will be charged, which makes the environment feel strict and unwelcoming rather than comfortable.
Breakfast Experience:
The breakfast was very poor. While most guesthouses in the Maldives serve breakfast until 10:30 AM, here it closed at 9:00 AM. Food options were almost nonexistent — only a few cut fruits and baked beans were available. No tissues on the tables, no staff to assist, and water was poured from a 5L plastic bottle without a cooler, which looked unhygienic.
Overall:
Our stay at Three Inn was uncomfortable from start to finish. The service, maintenance, and hospitality were all below standard. Unless major improvements are made in staff training, cleanliness, and guest comfort, I would not recommend this property to other travelers.
