Grand Supicha City Hotel

The room, staff and pool were fabulous. The pool opening hour should extended. All the pool is 1.2m so no safety issues .

Nice close walk to Phuket Old Town !! Stayed two night!!! Short and sweet.

To high priced for what we get, booked a Premium Double room with Balcony, outdoor pool great, room and bath size nice but no hangers or place for luggage, dress etc.. Light in shower did not work, but they fixed it, Water in the sink did almost not go we had to ask every day for small towels.. We could hear everything from other rooms, elevator etc. So hotel is okay but to expensive....

Location:
The Grand Supicha is 1km from Old Town Street, so you either need a car or bike to reach the colourful Old Town you’ll have seen in the photos. There isn’t anything of interest near the hotel. There is a primary school, and a nursery/kindergarten very nearby, so sometimes expect cars, parents and kids at certain times. There is also government building directly opposite. The nearest 7/11 is about 700m away so quickly dashing to the nearest 7/11 is out, unless you get it delivered.

Service:
We found the service of the staff to be lacklustre and not very friendly, which is unusual for Thailand. There was no “hello” or welcoming atmosphere. There was no welcome drink and there was no effort or staff to help with bags or show us to our room. The woman in reception just said “Check in?”. She couldn’t actually find my booking at first so randomly started showing me other guests details in case it was mine. I never saw them smile or offer anything in the way of warmth or welcoming guests.

Rooms:
The rooms are spacious and ours had a balcony and a bathtub, a rarity in Thailand. However, they are not very well lit and the plug sockets are not near the bed, which for those with a device in hand may find annoying. We actually had to change rooms as there was a noisy family of a certain nationality next door slamming doors and doing nothing to control their wayward child. The hotel were happy to changed our room, but I wondered why they would put a family with a small child next to a completely different family. We moved rooms up a floor but, again, no staff or help with moving our bags at all and no help was offered.

Breakfast:
Breakfast is adequate and is usually Thai dishes only, no Western food which is fine. On the first day however, the metal trays containing the food were not heated and the food was cold. There is tea and coffee and fruit (watermelon only) and toast too. Outside of the breakfast time, there is no restaurant and no hot food available at all, just a cafe serving snacks, cakes and coffee. Even when we asked for bowls and cutlery for takeaway food, we were told the kitchen was closed.

In summary, the hotel is a beautiful colonial style building which resonates with the historical beauty of Phuket Old Town. However, the cracks are showing and it is let down by a lack of service or effort. Hopefully it’ll improve.

I have no clue why this hotel is not highly rated on Tripadvisor. May be very few ratings and will pick up soon. But this was one of the best hotel I choose in my entire Thailand trip specially at the price at which I got this.

Swimming pool was crystal clear and super clean. One of the best I experienced in my entire budget trip. Hotel looks fairly new. Rooms were big and spacious. Check in process was smooth. All amenities were given. Balcony was beautiful as well with a pool view.

Located in heart of Old Town. Everything is just a 5-10min walk away

Stayed here 2 times when traveling to Rassada pier (phi phi trip). Everything is ok. There is parking for travelers by car , fast and reliable WiFi, clean rooms and breakfast. Room is spacious. No disadvantages

I booked a room for 3 and they didint have anything to accomodate 3 persons they gave us 1 bed and didnt want to provide anything else

Swimming pool a bit weird: close to reception and the street and very shallow. Never-the-less can swim 20 meters so if that important to you its great to have. Rooms large, very clean, nice bathrooms. Nice balconies and views over the town and distant view of the sea. 10 minutes walk from all the cafes and restaurants of Old Town Phuket. I like the off street covered parking also.

Cute little hotel in Phuket city. The food was really good too. Very clean rooms and the beds are super comfy. I like how it’s in the middle of town so if you bought a trip online like zip lining them they pick you up from the hotel.

This hotel is nice and everything, just one bad comment on the super thin wall. Slept here 2 nights, we can pretty much hear everything that the next door talk. It was super annoying and probably wont come back because of this reason.
