This hotel was sublime, I just arrived from Australia, so jet lag was huge - I was exhausted. The room was so beautiful, as were the staff. The location was great, easy walking around town. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The shower was broken but otherwise all was great
Convenient and close to the sights and our activities. The rooms were well presented and the bathrooms a good size. Breakfast was extensive and well serviced. The bar had a great bartender who was knowledgeable and friendly. Front office staff were efficient and responsive to requests.

The smell of food at the lobby
We booked to stay at the Baixa for three nights prior to boarding a cruise, we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for both its location and its quality.
We had a sixth floor room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel with a view down towards the sea. The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed, the restaurant served really good locally inspired meals and drinks.
On of the best and unexpected things was the free walking tour of Lisbon offered to guests. This was led by Pedro, the Guest Service Manager, who gave us a very detailed overview about Lisbons history in the most entertaining manor.

From the convenient location to the spacious rooms (great bathroom) to the excellent breakfast buffet and super friendly staff, Hotel da Baixa was a hit. The complimentary guided walking tour of the city is a must.

Pedro was exceptional! We enjoyed a fantastic walking tour of beautiful Lisbon with our family of four and another lovely couple. We learned so much at a leisurely pace. Pedro provided much information and was such a pleasant conversationalist. Don’t miss this opportunity!
