Central place - recommend more if no car....
Pros:

Very central. We had a big room with two beds and a big bath room which was nice (but no window to open). It was surprisingly quiet during the night. Very friendly manager - helping with the suitcases while my partner tried to find a parking lot...

Cons:

All these carpets are not really modern anymore but it's very usual in England still. Had to search 50 min. for an available Parking lot in the blue zone which is free of charge...

Pros:

Location facing onto Cathedral, lovely breakfast in historic bar. Helpful staff.

Pros:

Excellent location, central but in a quiet location close to the cathedral. The annexe is very well equipped for a short stay, with kitchen facilities as well as offering very comfortable living space and bedrooms. Breakfast options, served to your table, are of the highest quality. Dinner choices likewise very good. Staff are great.

Cons:

Not a serious criticism, but some of the furnishings in the living area are looking worn.

Pros:

Cons:

The parking is a permit scheme whereby a space isn't guaranteed however Bradley was extremely helpful and explained all of the location and options to us.

Due to the size of our car, and the fact that we needed to charge, we opted to park in the Chesil Street multi-storey that was 10 mins away and cheap, also free between 6pm and 8am. We left our bags with Bradley and he made sure they made it to our room whilst we went for a drink ahead of check in so although parking not necessarily convenient, it was not an issue.

Perfekt und wunderschön!
Pros:

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes, ruhiges und geräumiges Zimmer direkt über dem Pub Old Vine mit einem schönen, großen Badezimmer. Tee konnte man stilvoll in der Teekanne (es gab auch Kekse!) zubereiten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen abends im Pub sowie das Frühstück waren großartig. Die Lage ist perfekt, direkt an der Kathedrale. Winchester ist eine sehr schöne, ruhige kleine Stadt und im Juni nicht touristisch überlaufen. Es gibt schöne Geschäfte und kulturell viel zu entdecken.

Beautiful comfortable room in a friendly historical pub
Pros:

Very close to the cathedral; historical; beautifully decorated. Pub and restaurant were very friendly and the food was excellent, loved that there were so many regulars and neighbors at the pub.

Cons:

Not easy to get to but it was worth the effort!

A good place to stop over in the centre of Winchester
Pros:

Large room, well furnished and equipped. They were kind enough to bring breakfast to the room at 7.15am even though in theory the earliest time was 7.30pm.

Cons:

Sockets for phone charging on both sides of the bed would have been appreciated. Parking is not great - but we knew that in advance and they did their best to help.

Fabulous stay in a great location with excellent food.
Pros:

The location of The Old Vine is brilliant. It is so central and so close to Winchester’s main attraction- the Cathedral.
The breakfast has to be one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The quality of the food and extensive choices was excellent. All served freshly prepared to the table.
We also ate in the restaurant one evening and our meal again was excellent.
Our room was large and extremely clean as was the bathroom.
The staff were very friendly and efficient.

Cons:

The only issue we had for our 2 night stay was that our bed was a little bit firm for our liking but obviously that might suit other people.
And it did creak a bit but it was a beautiful bedstead which I assume was quite old but totally in keeping with the room.
