Possibly past its best
Pros:

Great location by the coast, building v pretty, not too expensive. It is a 5 min walk to the Tesco express and the major bus terminus point is 2 mins from the front door. No issues with maintenance etc

Cons:

It's old like dated, everything felt at least 25 years old. But not in a particularly timeless way. Almighty din from the band playing downstairs and they carried on so late! You have to leave keys with reception or they have no idea if you are in the building or not. No way to deadbolt the room door???? Room was oddly shaped/arranged and I had a view of all the extractor fans out the window

Fabulous hotel!
Pros:

We were very fortunate to spend last week on a “Christmas” break at this lovely hotel! We travelled from Norfolk as part of a coach tour. Our room was fantastic, and overlooked the small amusement section in front of the beach. Not intrusive at all, we still had good views of the beach and sea. We had upgraded our room before arrival and were not disappointed. Lovely furnishings, comfortable bed, and very spacious bathroom. The food was really very good, with plenty of choice every evening. The staff were attentive, and a special shout out to the two waiters/bar people that took turns in calling out the bingo! Such fun to hear the bingo phrases called with a Spanish accent! Well done! Would we return? Yes of course we would! Not been to a hotel in a long while that was so clean, so beautifully decorated and maintained. Thank you to all at the Hotel Rex
