A dishonest hotel that invents random extra fees at check-out and treats families with zero respect.
Pros:

Absolutely nothing. The management is dishonest.

Cons:

Highly unprofessional, dishonest, and a complete scam!
The Service: The staff and management were incredibly rude, unprofessional, and treated us with absolutely no respect.
The Cleanliness: The hygiene and cleanliness levels were unacceptable. The room was dirty and poorly maintained.

I booked two rooms through Booking a week before arrival for 3 adults and 2 children. The room description stated "Double Bed". Upon check-in, we clearly informed the receptionist that we were 5 people (3 adults, 2 kids). She gave us the room keys and the car parking card without mentioning any extra fees or issues.

However, during check-out, they suddenly claimed my booking was only for 2 people and demanded extra money. Neither the hotel staff nor Booking.com support knew how much the "extra fee" should be. After a heated argument and extremely disrespectful treatment, the receptionist went into a back room, called the manager, and they literally made up prices on the spot!

They charged me an extra €180 to €200 (including parking fees that were never mentioned at check-in). They have zero pricing transparency, terrible communication, and they literally invent prices to rip off families. Worst experience ever. Avoid this place at all costs!

Tolles Hotel, toller Service und beste Lage!
Pros:

Die Lage, die Ausstattung und das Personal einfach super. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und von bester Qualität - hier findet jeder etwas.

Cons:

Das Buffet am Abend war super, allerdings kosten Kinder mit 7 Jahren hier bereits 20 Euro. Eine kleine Leer oder bessere Staffelung wäre hier angebracht.
Saunieren ist mit Kindern nicht möglich und leider auch nicht das Dampfbad, da all diese Einrichtungen erst ab16 Jahren betreten werden dürfen. Wenn diese Textil sind und nicht, wie sie eigentliche Sauna, textilfrei. Wäre ein separater Eingang super.

An die Reibungskraft ein kleiner Hinweis: beim Bad im baumhaus, gern einmal von innen die schiebe Tür schließen und dann auch hier einmal mit durchwischen. Diesen Schmutz Streifen sieht man nur bei verschlossener Tür.

Super wir kommen wieder
Pros:

Das Hotel hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel, das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war sehr gut, und ich habe mich während meines Aufenthalts sehr wohlgefühlt. Ich würde dieses Hotel gerne weiterempfehlen.

Die Einzigartigkeit der Unterkunft (Baumhaus) war einfach genial.
Das Essen hat geschmeck und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.

I do not understand why is property not communicating in terms of double payment of the room. I contacted booking as well as property but no respond. There is clear evidence that I prepaid to booking com and the property charged me (they did not find payment) once again. An action from any of such subject is highly requested!

Cons:

Das Abendessen war als Buffet angerichtet, die Speisen, bis auf den Salat, waren ungewürzt und sahen aus bzw. schmeckten nach Tiefkühlkost. Auch das Essen von der Karte für die Kinder war nicht genießbar.
Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.
Wir hatten eine Suite mit zwei Zimmern gebucht, das Badezimmer war super klein, insgesamt machte es den Eindruck, als wäre es lange nicht bezogen worden.
Das Personal war nicht übermäßig bemüht, interessiert oder freundlich.
Für den Preis haben wir schon deutlich besser genächtigt und werden nicht wieder kommen.

Die Lage war super, das Restaurant ebenfalls (das Personal dort war sehr freundlich und bemüht) und der Wellnessbereich sah ebenfalls toll aus

Cons:

Im Zimmer wurde das Sofa als „drittes Bett“ vergeben, ein Beistellbett war auf Nachfrage nicht extra möglich. Mit Laken und Bettwäsche versehen sollte dies für 3 Nächte ausreichen. Es war unfassbar unbequem und der Schlaf war dementsprechend miserabel. Für 3 Personen ist das Zimmer damit definitiv nicht geeignet.

Gut gedacht, mittelmäßig umgesetzt.
Pros:

Der Dpa- Bereich mit dem schönen Pool.

Cons:

Baumhaus- Elvis- gebucht. Das sind aber immer 2 Häuser mit einer gemeinsamen Terrasse- Null Privatsphäre.
Die meinten Häuser schauen zur Straße oder links zum Parkplatz. Ziemlich laut oder sehr sonnig, der Wald ist im Rücken. Sehr nah an der Straße .
Die Einrichtung sperrig und unbequem, große Sessel ohne richtige Bestimmung...
In 2 Tagen ließ sich kein Zimmerservice blicken, Mülleimer wurde bei der Hitze nicht geleert, keine frische Handtücher, die Minibar nicht gefüllt und kühlte überhaupt nicht. Immerhin eine 4 Sterne Einrichtung, vielleicht ist das Hotel besser.
Keine Ventilation oder Klima, beim offenen Fenster u Türen zu schlafen ist in der Situation nicht gerade angenehm.
Service lieblos, unpersönlich, nicht herzlich.
Also...liebes Ettershaus- Team, wie man im Wald hinein ruft, so kommt es auch zurück.
