Nirvana Boutique Hotel

Loved the wide glass view from family room that we stayed in.

I stayed at Nirvana Boutique hotel with my family on 02nd Dec 2024 for 1 night. Things I enjoyed during my stay was large room for stay. My 2 year old daughter enjoyed by running and playing around the room. My Room had a nice canal view. Small, cozy walking space along canal. Decent food options available. Key point of attraction is its location amongst sculptor's workshop, i could see sculptors making huge stone idols. Nearest attraction at walking distance from hotel is Sea shell museum. Please don't miss this place on your visit. They have large and awesome collection of sea shells across the world. On Flip side, this hotel is far away from town centre and far away from tourist hustle bustle. Location felt remote and isolated particularly during night. All famous restaurants are far away from location. There is a scope to improve food menu.

The Hotel was clean and tidy. Food can be ordered by room service and the bathrooms are hygienic. The staff is friendly. Do visit the swimming pool in the evenings. There is pool table available for friends to play. Food is good at moderate prices.

It can be improved...it's a nice protery

A budget hotel with basic rooms but comfortable beds and excellent shower. All the staff were so friendly and willing to help. There was no fridge in the room but they were happy for us to put drinks into a communal fridge by reception. We were the only people at breakfast but they were happy to cook us whatever we fancied...eggs and toast made a nice change!!!

An economical place to stay for solo , couples family offering ac accommodation , pool and good food. It is located at walking distance from Sea Shell Museum. Beaches are located around 2-3 kms distance. personal vehicle is highly recommended if you stay at this place. Also the hotel is situated next to stone sculpture shops.

We stayed at Nirvana Boutique ( suite room). It had a beautiful view of backwater from the window, the room was clean and well maintained, the food was good. I found the price reasonable and we had a comfortable overnight stay.

We came here as a group of 15 for a High School reunion. Only because of the food quality I have given it a 4 star (rather than 3 star). The breakfast, lunch and high tea were of the highest quality. Rooms were ok. They do not provide tea/coffee makers and toilet rolls.

After our pathetic stay in Annamalai International Hotel in Puducherry (please read my review in tripadvisor) we get fresh air in this hotel. We were 3 (2 adult +1 child) and booked a Suite. It was very spacious with 2 double bed, 2 AC, 1 sofa set, 1 table, 1 cupboard, 1 TV. There was a 6 ft mirror in bathroom. Overall very good. It had a homely vibe. We felt very comfortable cannot explain why. That was the vibe.
They did not have hindi channels in TV. As we requested immediately they made arrangements & took subscription. We were very happy. This is called customer friendly. Again when we asked them to arrange cab for Chennai airport they suggested to book OLA as it will be cheaper & will be available within 2 min. They told "if we call cab they charge Rs200 extra". We are totally impressed by their behaviour.
Two things I did not like: 1) The swimming pool is just at the entrance. It feels very awkward. Whoever enters the hotel can see people bathing. 2) The toiletries provided were very basic (clinic plus, lifebuoy...) 3) For suite room they didnt provide electric kettle, tea, coffee pouch etc. These are to be improved.
In spite of this I would recommend this hotel as it is very good, considering the price they offer

Visited Mahabalipuram on the 25th February. This was a last minute check in. The hotel is Basic. Very reasonably priced. The staff is helpful and courteous. The owner of this property is present there all times.
He offered to help in translating the language TAMIL
Mr. Ganesh at the reception was also cheerful person.
The service in the rooms was immediate

Hello Friends, This Hotel released my booking without informing me and my travel date is after 10 Days. I Spoke to Mr Akash Gupta for the booking and on mail everything was confirmed, but now hotel is denying to provide the room as they have offered to someone else.

Lack of Hospitality information i find here because no one can release your hotel booking without informing you if confirmation is received from Hotel.

Mr Akash Gupta Said that payment was not received due to that policies we released the room, i highly appreciate Akash for the same that he welcomes guests to Mahabalipuram and his property like this even speaking for the payment that it will be received 10 days prior arrival.

My Travel Journey

It was a one night stay at Nirvana. Pleasant and calm.
The pool is very neat and tidy.No baby pool but the depth is around 5 feet.
The place has a nice view of a small lake behind the hotel and the staff is very friendly.
They gave us the contact numbers for scooter hire which was good.

No proper management and no action was also taken in spite of many complaints, very bad experience

It was a homely stay. Service is excellent. We got here something extra without asking. Food service in room, morning tea, etc., made our stay really special. Hotel setting is also very scenic. Really worth my time and money.

A very calm and quiet hotel. They just need to maintain more in the sector of the Bathrooms. That was the only putoff...

Superb location is the first thing I would say about this hotel. We checked-in to the hotel late in the evening, however the check-in procedure was simple. The property looked decent and clean with restaurant and small swimming pool by its side on the ground floor. It has 2 floors however there is no lift facility available. The location of the hotel is slightly isolated so it would be convenient only if you have your vehicle. However, the location is superb, just along the back-waters. As it was dark while we checked-in, we couldn't see around, but during the morning, the location seemed very nice and serene.
The rooms were clean and well maintained. The owner handed-over a leaflet with sight-seeing locations and restaurants to visit, which was helpful. They have a free Wifi, but we never used it. The food at restaurant was good. The breakfast had idli, vada, dosa, bread-butter-jam etc and was decent. We had a problem with hot water, as we did not have hot water in our bathroom, however the staff were very good and got us 2 buckets of hot water.
Overall, nice hotel with good service.

I am Sekar Ncte advisor,Erode. We stayed April last week of 2018. This hotel has nice clean rooms and good service from staff. Food average quality but economic. Owner is nice person and interact usefully. Small swimming pool but clean. Totally worth.

Visited Mahabalipuram last week and booked this Hotel. Location is kind of isolated near to seashell museum. (mahablipuram itself is a small town - so you cannot complain much). They don't have proper parking facility - you have to park your car outside the gate. Looks like this hotel is not fully functional - still some construction work is going on, hence noisy. We had some trouble in getting running hot water. Staffs are helpful. Wifi was good.They have some common area and the view was good. Haven't tried any food from there so not sure about their menu\rates. They have a swimming pool and was well maintained. Overall just an average hotel in a small town - mahabalipuram
