Pros:

We stayed for one night but wish we'd booked for longer. All the staff were really friendly and explained everything very clearly. All the food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent - freshly cooked to order. Plenty of on-site parking and an easy walk to the beach, town centre etc.

Cons:

No major negatives - bed was a bit on the squeaky side but that was about it.

A very disappointing stay.
Pros:

Nothing much, only the room was OK, clean and the bathroom was very spacious.
The owner recognised our discomfort and disappoinment and gave us a generous refund.
I should point out that the other rooms in The Arun View probably deserved the reviews of "fabulous" but our experience didn`t match this description. We left and were able to cancel our breakfasts.

Cons:

First of all, to get in room 1 where we stayed, the only access was in or out by the FIRE EXIT- or behind the bar where the staff were serving. It was very noisy with music up ot 12.30. We survived this by watching TV. There was also no hot water to wash with in the morning and quite a strong smell of paint.

Pros:

Location. Parking and view of the river. Friendly staff.

Getting in / out of the rooms as you had to go outside where there were steep stairs.

Wonderfully sited next to iconic bridge (site of the previous Iconic Green Swing Bridge with great river views (as the name suggests)
Excellent range of food and drinks nicely served y relaxed and friendly staff.

Cons:

The stairs to the room were quite steep but the staff were excellent and helped with bags and made it not a problem.

An enjoyable stay
Pros:

We booked 2 rooms which were both clean and comfortable.

The restaurant was large and the service and food were very good.

Cons:

Although the restaurant was very good there was no lounge area in which to relax and chat whilst enjoying a drink after eating.

Smashing view from rooom 4. Immaculately clean. Food delicious and well presented. Highly recommend Sunday Roast lunch !

The green emergency exit light on the the ceiling was very bright but appreciate its importance.

Cons:

The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were cheap and flat. No support at all. The bed linen was rough. There was a bright green light in the ceiling right over the which was on all night. Very difficult to sleep

I would not hesitate to recommend The Arun View and hope to stay again in the future.
Pros:

Lovely staff, highly efficient, I could not have been better looked after. The menu was varied, food well cooked and very generous and my room had everything I needed plus an interesting view over the river.

Cons:

There was nothing I did not like. The staff have the running of the place down to a fine art.
