Domaine de La Briandais, a place of electromagnetic sobriety

A quirky place that doesn’t allow electromagnetic radiation so all devices have to be turned off, they even had a radiation meter at reception to check. Connectors and ethernet cables are provided to connect phones etc to the imternet. Room was spacious but bathroom was very small. Lovely grounds by a lake, we had tea outside on the patio then went for a walk. There was an outdoor swimming pool which looked nice, although we didn’t use it. Food was excellent, local and innovative. There was a set menu, so no choice and no information about what you would be eating until it came. You just chose 3,4 or 5 courses. Expensive but really good. Overall, an enjoyable stay with friendly helpful staff.

We loved this place. We found it by chance and stayed there for one night. The castle and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The park around the castle and the lake are very charming. We are planning to come back there next year for a longer stay.

C'est un lieu très agréable. Le parc donne sur un étang, on voit les cheveux et les vaches de la propriété voisine et on se réveille avec le chant des oiseaux !
Le staff est disponible, sympa et à l'écoute.
L'établissement privilégié des produits locaux, ce que je trouve très bien, et le chef est exceptionnel.
Je recommande vivement cet endroit.

Wow!! a beautifully restored and maintained Manoir in Bretagne. Lovely wooded park, plent of space to get lost in a book, play yard games or just walk and take in the natural surroundings. Walk down to the lake/pond and look across at the other Manoir. The location is beautiful and also close to the neighboring Chateau de la Bretesche with its beautiful chateau, golf course and Michelin restaurant. Keep in mind — Sobriete Electromagnetique — it means no electromagnetic waves. All computer connections are through ethernet — and they provide ther requisite adapters for computers and phones.

Hotel excelente e uma experiência de uma hotel chateau com alto nível de conforto, serviço e restaurante. Local calmo, conectado a natureza e de fácil acesso a praia.

The hotel has a lovely position, the owners are very nice, was not impressed with the food to highly priced., we may just have been unlucky

The gardens need updating around the very nice pool.

The hotel is everything you imagine of the French countryside. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The only issue was that the WiFi was out for a few days. The owners tried to get somebody out to fix it, but it’s France and things happen on their own timeline. Once the WiFi was fixed it worked perfectly.

Cuisine très bonne et fine, petit déjeuner correct.

Prachtige entourage; onlangs gerenoveerde mansion met mooie tuin en klein zwembad. Eigenaren zeer vriendelijk. Frisse, sfeervolle, eigentijdse ingerichte kamer met apart toilet (=erg krap), wel ruime doucheruimte met rituals badspullen, flesje water, nespresso apparaat. Magnetron mag je gebruiken in de lounge.
In de eetzaal mag van mij de verlichting zachter om meer sfeer te behalen.Diner hadden we meer van verwacht; prijs/kwaliteit van diner nog niet op orde. Ontbijtzaal is gezellig, vooral de tafels aan het raam; je waant je terug in vroegere tijden. Ontbijt prima verzorgd.

Excellent accueil, lieu chaleureux , une déco avec des touches originales et de très bon goût!
Le cadre est exceptionnel et magnifique !Très bonne table également , diner excellent et le buffet du petit déjeuner est un régal , autant pour les yeux que pour la qualité , la diversité des produits proposés! A découvrir .. et y revenir dés que possible!

Bref le petit déjeuner n’était pas à la hauteur du tarif 12€
Il n’y avait aucune étiquette sur les confitures donc il fallait goûter pour deviner quelle saveur elles avaient !

Nous avons séjourné au manoir dans le cadre d’une rando velo.
Le manoir est actuellement en travaux. Les nouveaux propriétaires vont transformer cette belle bâtisse endormie en petit joyaux.
nous étions dans une chambre rénovée, assez grande, avec vue sur le parc.
Petit dej copieux.
Le parc est très grand et très joli. Au calme, avec chevaux et accès à un étang.
