How handy it was
Just the online check in
Property was good, clean and comfy and have parking facilities.
Late check in.
The room really needs renovation. I couldn't open the curtain. The ventilation fan in the toilet was very loud, louder than a washing machine. The TV had no signal and the hotel couldn't do anything about it. The room was dusty.
Staff were the most helpful I have ever had at a hotel and affordability travelling during school holidays is expensive and getting an affordable room that is clean quiet and comfy is the best.
Walls in room could use a new coat of paint
Location
No dining facilities
The room was quiet and cosy.
Bathroom layout is a little bit tight and small
The lift not working early in the morning.
We chose that hotel due to its proximity to the airport. That's perhaps all.
We found that the room offered rather poor value for money. It was quite small: there was no desk, not even a single chair, and no bathtub. Essentially, it consisted only of a bed with a very limited amount of space around it. There was also no guaranteed parking available for our car.
Considering that the price was around NZ$400 per night, we felt this was disappointing. For the same amount, our daughter's family got a really nice Airbnb HOUSE within a few minutes' drive of the centre of Queenstown.
We liked the room and views of the snow on the remarkables fantastic we will be back.
Everything in our room was perfect.
Everything
No complaints at all
Location was ok for airport
While I was in our room, a woman used a key card to enter without knocking or announcing herself. At the time, I was partially undressed, which made the experience extremely embarrassing and distressing. The sudden entry also gave both my husband and me a significant fright.
My husband went to reception to report what had happened. We were simply told that it was “a cleaner,” and the matter was dismissed without any genuine concern or apology. We also found it unusual that the woman was not wearing any identifiable uniform or name badge, leaving us uncertain as to who had entered our room.
Afterwards, I attempted to contact reception twice by phone to discuss the incident further, but my calls were not answered, and no one returned my calls.
We understand that housekeeping staff need access to rooms, but entering an occupied room without knocking, announcing themselves, or ensuring it is appropriate to enter is unacceptable. Guests have a right to privacy and to feel safe and secure in their accommodation.
I would appreciate an explanation of how this occurred, what procedures are in place to prevent it from happening again, and how this matter will be addressed. I also believe the way our concerns were handled at reception fell well below the standard of customer service we expected. We had cash, luggage, and passports in the room, and this incident has left us questioning the security provided to guests.
After several attempts to contact staff the manager turned up at our door at 10pm at night to discuss the issue which was very inconsiderate as we needed to awake at 5am next morning. He didn’t offer any compensation. He just said that he would follow it up??
I’m disgusted with how this managed and the lack of privacy
Great room handy to airport
comfy bed
terrible smell in the bathroom. bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine and didnt go off. i had to switch the lights fuse off to disable the fan.
