The pool and breakfast.
The food at the pool bar. (The most unappetising bowl I have had in my life) to the point that decided not to go to Rick stein restaurant and choose an Italian restaurant around the corner for dinner.
Location was great. So many options for eateries, also have the shopping centre and pharmacy just within walking distance. Also wasn't expecting daily housekeeping services as some hotels i've stayed at have only offered it every 2 days, so it was also a very lovely surprise:)

Having to leave early because of an alarm which I found out later on from other people that had stayed there that it happens quite a bit.
Also having to pay extra for parking wasn’t expected.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful with all of our requirements. Their friendly service was greatly appreciated.
Although the buffet breakfast is cheaper than eating out, we found the quality to be just sufficient. It was fine for one morning, but not something we would choose to have again if staying multiple days.
Dog friendly, great location near local hotels and shops, bar downstairs made good cocktails, really good king size bed, option for secure parking, 24 hr reception, great games / pool table area.
Charged an extra $100 a night for pet friendly, access cards failed twice; needed to carry all bags as bag trolley couldn’t be used as about 5 steps up to rooms on L1; pet friendly all on L1 with conferences etc so anyone can go to L1 and car park without access card, tiny fridge, no toilet brush provided. Parking $25 a day for unallocated space in basement.
